The role can be based in central Scotland or London, with regular travel to our head office in West Lothian, and to our distilleries. Our role is perfectly suited to someone with oodles of drive, tenacity, experience, creativity and passion and best placed to continue to evolve and shape exactly how our wonderful whisky brands all show up across the U.K. market, from campaign concept to on-shelf execution, and beyond!You’ll lead the charge on building standout strategies for our brands, which are some of the most respected names in whisky. Working in partnership with Brand, Sales and Customers to build compelling activity aligned to customer objectives and brand guidelines. Strong collaborator, excellent stakeholder management skills, commercially focussed with a creative flair is essential.Defined set of objectives by channel, the Whisky Customer Marketing Lead (UK) will identify with a wide spectrum of Whisky occasions and consumers. Utilising our brand CRM and Distilleries to excite trade and consumers. Developing NPD and new release launch campaigns as well as effectively targeting high-net-worth individuals across the UK.Contributing to our Whisky Development Program and working closely with Head of Whisky Development, this role will work with advocacy initiatives and continue to develop sales and marketing toolkits to promote, educate and inspire on our portfolio.Working cross-functionally across the wider Ian Macleod business with integrity, demonstrating a passion and understanding of the needs of customers as well as our business. The Whisky Customer Marketing Lead (UK) will help shape the Retail and On Trade strategy and its consistent delivery.ROLE DESCRIPTIONResponsibilitiesKey Day to Day ActivitiesOn-Trade(25 %)Prestige

  • Develop and execute our fine and rare strategy
  • Creating customer marketing and bespoke POS for prestige operators,

aligned to brand guidelines and investment criteria

  • Building proposals for Lighthouse accounts, implementation and ongoing support.
  • Working cross-functionally in building and delivering trade visits and

advocacy experiences.

  • Launching NPD and new releases.

Premium

  • Serve strategy in collaboration with our ambassadors to bring our lower

age statements to new consumers.

  • Create and implement disruptive campaigns for Smokehead Islay Malt.
  • Evolve visibility mechanics in target segmentation to increase ROS and
  • expand trial.
  • Work with RTM/Wholesalers to build distribution.
  • Alongside Brand and HOCM evolve whisky strategy with customer marketing initiatives to increase ROS and usage.

Destination & Specialist Retail/Ecommerce(25%)

  • Curate the Specialist communication strategy, working with Brand, Distillery and Ambassador teams to build compelling stories.
  • Develop in-store and digital assets which inspire shoppers to purchase

with evolving content.

  • Collaborate on takeovers, joint PR and Social campaigns.
  • Project manage Lighthouse activities.
  • Work with multi-channel customers to ensure all operators can access

our range.

  • Support cross-functional projects to continue evolving how we trade in

eCommerce.Grocery(20%)

  • Working with Brand and Digital to build omni-channel, Power Period campaigns to drive ROS and recruit from competitor brands.
  • Social media and CRM campaigns to promote during Power Periods, enhance reach and engagement of consumers.
  • ROI reporting and campaign analysis to share internally and externally
  • Using insight and data, provide updates for Sales to share with
  • customers.
  • Contribute to customer-facing annual and quarterly reviews.
  • Innovative consumer targeting and engagement, constantly reviewing cost-effective ways of influencing shoppers

General(20%)

  • Develop and implement, with Head of Customer Marketing, the UK

Customer Marketing strategy to support the overall UK Off and On Tradeplan.

  • Build sales decks and toolkits to support the team for core and NPD
