Job description: CG Life is seeking a VP of M&A, located in Chicago, IL to lead and execute the Company’s M&A initiatives. The individual, reporting to the CEO, will oversee the development and maintenance of a robust pipeline of acquisition targets, conduct financial and operational analysis, negotiate letters of intent, and lead transaction diligence. This role will play a crucial part in the entire M&A process, ensuring seamless execution and integration of new acquisitions while supporting the broader corporate strategy.As the VP of M&A, you will:·Support C-Suite and Shore Capital in engagements with potential sellers, contributing to effective offer presentations and letters of intent·Manage and drive the post-LOI phase, overseeing due diligence and integration, in collaboration with legal counsel, third-party diligence vendors, and internal teams·Contribute to opportunity sourcing using a strategic, prioritized approach. Utilize quantitative and qualitative scoring criteria to proactively pursue quality assets with a high probability of post-acquisition growth·Assist the build of a consistently robust top of the funnel through proactive outreach, existing executive team and Board of Directors relationships, former add-on sellers, industry conference attendance, brokers, and other relevant referral sources· Develop and oversee all mediums that market the Company to prospective sellers. Ensure pitch decks, outreach templates, etc. are consistently up-to-date with the latest, most effective value propositions to prospective sellers·Along with the executive leadership team, travel to meet with prospective sellers in person. Build exceptionally strong relationships that can be leveraged to successfully negotiate a deal·Develop in-depth investment memorandums and present to senior management regarding transaction rationale·Provide leadership toward additional value-added activities and support operational and departmental excellence·Maintain honest and ethical conduct at all times· Through personal example, establish the style and approach that will characterize the company’s dealings and reputation in the marketplaceTo be successful in the role you must possess:·A minimum of 5 years of experience in M&A and/or corporate development, with prior private-equity deal experience being preferred·Ability to lead a deal process from initial screening of the opportunity to the close of a transaction·Prior experience in a healthcare or marketing & communications environment is preferred, but not required·Exceptional written and oral presentation skills; ability to present concisely and with detail·Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data,including presentations to the board or other outside partnersStrong organizational skills; must be able to manage and prioritize multiple business objectives andprojects with the proper sense of urgency·Highly motivated contributor who thrives in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.·An entrepreneurial spirit, with the ability to work seamlessly with small businesses and adapt to theirunique needs.·Ability to travel to target acquisition sites; 3-5 times per quarter.Compensation: Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience and will include an attractive base salary, annual bonus opportunity, and benefits package.CG Life, a Shore Capital-backed portfolio company, is an integrated digital marketing and communications agency specializing in bringing precision medicine therapies to commercialization.
