Job description: Give the young people three hours of your time for 12 weeks and watch them flourish! Become part of a team of ambitious and skilled volunteers whose mission is to help young people from the Northwest create their own business.First and foremost, you must be passionate about strengthening young people’s self-confidence and helping them create a solid foundation of learning, skills and networks for their further journey into adulthood – something that many of the young people lacked during their school years and growing up.N’Vest is an entrepreneurship project that puts young people and their wishes first. The project is for all young people, but has a special focus on young people who are struggling socially, have challenges at school or otherwise need practical learning, where success and progress are not long in coming. We meet about entrepreneurship and the desire to create something – both us as leaders, the volunteers, the teacher and the young people – and this is what should permeate the entire project and create a safe and educational community with great diversity.Would you like to be part of that community?Do you think it’s fun to create something together with others? We are looking for volunteers with special skills, experience or interest in either pedagogy, entrepreneurship, production, technical and craft skills and who want to bring it into play in close interaction with the other volunteers and the young people. You will develop a close relationship with the young people who depend on and trust your help and guidance during the 12 weeks you volunteer.Workload:
Since the work involves young people, we obtain child and criminal records for all volunteers. The framework for the project itselfWe work with 15-20 young people, all of whom are interested in creating a business – either on their own or with a small group of other young people. The volunteers and young people have a large and well-equipped MakerSpace at their disposal – as well as a teacher.Examples of products could be: Clothing, jewelry, soap, pillows, recycling of furniture, benches, make-up.The process, success criteria, and end result will vary from company to company. What is most important is the learning process, the small successes, and the community along the way.In the spring, they can choose to continue working with marketing, communication and sales in a new 12-week course. It is therefore possible to continue as a volunteer after the Christmas break, but it is not a requirement. The training is divided into two courses to ensure progress and clear product ideas that can be realized within the framework we have.We look forward to hearing from you!
