Title: Urban Outfitters Analytics Manager – Performance Marketing
Reports to: Director, Analytics
Overview: Urban Outfitters is looking for a talented individual to join our Analytics team as the Analytics Manager of Performance Marketing. This person will be a key architect of customer-centric business decisions, leveraging simple and sophisticated methods to synthesize and enhance our digital marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate is passionate about making sense of customer behavior and has a proven track record of using data-driven insights to develop successful marketing strategies and make measurable business impact.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement measurement plan to evaluate effectiveness of marketing initiatives including digital, print, store events and out-of-home.
- Design, manage, and deliver audience and customer segmentation strategies, including customer profiling, predictive behavior modeling, product, or marketing channel affinity etc. to help drive customer acquisition and reactivation, as well as enhance customer lifetime value.
- Lead test and learn strategy in partnership with cross-functional business areas, creating data-driven strategies to continuously improve and optimize investments.
- Leverage incremental test data to enhance marketing attribution model as well as media mix model to better allocate marketing spend and forecast return on ad spend
- Create scalable, innovative approaches to extracting, managing, and analyzing customer data to solve challenging business problems and identify new opportunities. Comfortable with exploring new marketing mediums
- Collaborate with Customer Insights on a range of customer studies and validation projects to understand customer shopping journey and opportunities for brand messaging.
- Extract and synthesize 1st and 3rd party customer data, including on-site behavior, marketing engagement, and other behavioral and demographic data using SQL queries.
- Continually look for ways to improve analytics processes and tools, deliverables, and brand presentations
- Serve as a leader, mentor, and coach within the Analytics organization.
Qualifications:
- 4-5 years of relevant analytics experience, preferably in a multi-channel or ecommerce
- Advanced experience with SQL and R
- Experience building customer segmentation models and forecasts
- Strong analytical and mathematical proficiency; Curious mindset & problem solver
- Knowledge of marketing platforms such as Salesforce, Unica, or other EWS/ CDP
- Advanced experience with data visualization products such as Tableau, Data Studio, or Microstrategy
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills are required to collaborate effectively
- Experience managing others
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics or other web analytics platforms a plus
- Solid understanding of major marketing channels including email, SEO, SEM and affiliates, a plus
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, or related field
