Do you want to lead excellence in category management across travel management companies (TMCs), airlines, and corporate credit card programs? This is your chance! In this role, you will define and drive category strategies, ensuring that our global travel program is continuously optimized to deliver value and compliance. As the global category owner, you will be a proactive business partner to internal stakeholders and manage relationships with external partners across these key categories.You will join a talented and dedicated team of six and report to the Director of Travel, Fleet & Events in Corporate Procurement. As a Category Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing strategic category plans for travel management companies (TMCs), airlines, and credit cards.
  • Leading and facilitating category councils with global stakeholders to align business goals and procurement strategies.
  • Managing supplier relationships with key partners (e.g., TMCs, global airlines, and card providers).
  • Driving performance through sourcing, contracting, and continuous supplier improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborating across regions to ensure alignment, efficiency, and compliance in all travel-related activities.
  • Monitoring market trends and proactively identifying opportunities for savings, innovation, and risk mitigation.

Your New Department:
Corporate Procurement is Novo Nordisk’s centre of excellence for category strategies, supplier agreements, and purchasing processes. The Corporate Procurement department builds strategies and executes improvement projects to optimize the global indirect spend of more than DKK 50 billion related to Facility Management, R&D activities, Marketing Services, Travel, Professional Advisory Services, and IT. Team size is app. 140 employees in Denmark and 2 indirect reporting teams of app. 150 employees in total in Global Business Services in India.Your Skills & Qualifications:
To thrive in this role, you should possess a master’s degree in business administration or a related field.You should also possess:

  • Minimum of 5+ years in category management and sourcing.
  • Experience managing relationships with a Travel Management Company (TMC) in a global company.
  • Experience in driving a travel program is advantageous.
  • Strategic mindset and Proficient in utilizing data for evidence-based decision-making.
  • Capable of conducting complex analyses and providing strong recommendations.

International experience in a global organization is preferred, along with expertise in developing impactful category strategies and conducting negotiations.On a personal level, you are self-driven and can achieve results both independently and collaboratively within a team. We expect you to be curious, possess structured problem-solving skills, and be able to maintain a broader perspective. You will have strong interpersonal skills, enabling you to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, while demonstrating enthusiasm and authenticity.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as fluency in English (both written and oral), is essential.Working at Novo Nordisk:
