Traditional Marketing Specialist

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Traditional Marketing Specialist to join our growing team.

The role of JELD-WEN of Canada Traditional Marketing Specialist is a direct report position to the Canadian Marketing Manager. As a member of the marketing team this position requires the ability to problem solve and work under the pressure of tight deadlines. Creativity and an ability to communicate well are essential. Strong organizational skills, good writing ability, comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and data analyst skills are assets. The ability to work independently and multi-task are required to be successful in this position.

The specialist position will work closely with the marketing managers, JELD-WEN sales department personnel and the advertising agencies to manage product advertising, public relations, regional pricing, and creative campaigns. The job will entail administrative support functions including, but not limited to, filing, clerical assistance and database management. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complying with JELD-WEN EH&S requirements, legal requirements including policies, standards, rules, and programs
  • Assist in the development of consumer centric marketing materials
  • Maintain accurate database records between platforms
  • Perform administrative tasks related to online coop program.
  • Act as the key point of contact between administration and JELD-WEN Marketing
  • Compiling of reports of vetted data, organized in charts and graphs that can be presented to senior-level management
  • Working with a marketing automation platform to track activities and deployments
  • Responsible for requesting and generally interpreting web traffic and online activities.
  • Assist in the development of printed materials, including proof reading and confirming product details with other JELD-WEN facilities or departments
  • Interface with other marketing personnel, and assist in marketing projects as required
  • Compliance with all Jeld Wen corporate guidelines on marketing and business ethics
  • Other tasks and duties as required
  • Developing and executing retail marketing efforts.
  • Managing in-store and print marketing, visual merchandising, as well as digital marketing and social media for the retail stores. (Literature, Packaging, Labels, QR codes, Campaigns, etc.)
  • Market research, customer profiling, and other tasks and duties required

Qualifications:

  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office products
  • Strong skills with Adobe creative products
  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Advertising, Design, or Business Communications recommended
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Digital marketing skill set and experience with creating and posting social media content
  • Proven organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and assignments while adhering to strict timelines
  • Tradeshow planning and management experience is a requirement
  • Social Media experience directly related to Business Marketing is a requirement
  • Experience in the building industry a very strong asset
  • Experience in the creation of marketing materials from concept to post campaign analysis
  • Limited travel up to 10% within North America
