Job description: About the job Trade Marketing ManagerJob Title: Trade Marketing ManagerDepartment: Sales & MarketingReports To: Country Sales ManagerJob PurposeTo lead and execute trade marketing strategies and activities that enhance brand visibility, drive consumer demand, and support the achievement of sales targets across all channels. The role is crucial in aligning marketing plans with trade execution and ensuring consistency in brand presentation at the point of sale.Key ResponsibilitiesA. Trade Marketing StrategyDevelop and implement channel-wise trade marketing plans aligned with overall brand and sales strategy.Tailor campaigns for different channels including modern trade, traditional trade, wholesale, E-commerce and B2B.B. Promotions & Campaign ExecutionPlan, execute, and track trade promotions and BTL activities.Support new product launches through detailed launch plans including in-store activations, sampling, and retail campaigns.C. Merchandising & In-store VisibilityEnsure effective use and distribution of Point-of-Sale Materials (POSM).Develop and maintain planogram compliance and display standards across all relevant outlets.D. Sales SupportProvide the sales team with promotional tools, product training and retail pitch support.Collaborate with Key Account Managers and field sales to ensure seamless implementation of initiatives.Coordinating with Key Account Decision Makers for periodic marketing plans and activations in coordination with sales team.E. Market Analysis & InsightsMonitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior at the retail level.Analyze data from campaigns and promotions to improve efficiency and ROI.F. Budget ManagementPrepare and manage the trade marketing budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness.Track expenditures and ensure alignment with approved plans.G. Cross-Functional CollaborationCoordinate with Supply Chain, Finance, and Sales teams for end-to-end campaign execution.Work closely with principals and retailers for trade activation.Managing Trade Marketing team (Promoters).Qualifications & ExperienceBachelors degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field. MBA is an advantage.58 years of relevant experience in trade marketing or sales within the household/FMCG sector.Experience in managing retail activations and promotions across various channels.Proven ability to handle large-scale campaign planning and execution.Experience within GCC is a plus.Arabic is a plusKey Skills & CompetenciesStrong commercial acumen with retail and shopper understanding.Excellent planning and organizational skills.Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze campaign performance.Creativity and innovation in trade activations.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and experience with CRM/ERP systems.KPIs & Performance MetricsSuccessful execution of trade marketing calendar as per timelines.Increase in off-take volumes during promotions.Visibility scores and planogram compliance across retail outlets.ROI on trade marketing spend.Sales team satisfaction with trade support.Customer and channel partner feedbackReporting & ReviewWeekly review meetings with Sales team.Monthly trade marketing performance report to be submitted to the Country Sales Manager and principals.Quarterly review with Managing Director.
