Team Lead Growth Marketing Job Detail
We believe that everyone has the right to DEFINE themselves and their future.
That includes YOU.
How would you like to do it in a fun, high-performance culture that’s truly one of a kind – on a team that appreciates you for being you, helps our members retire with confidence and makes Canada better, all at the same time?
If that sounds like your thing – and you’re an exceptional Team Lead, Growth Marketing – we’d like to hear from you.
We’re CAAT Pension Plan, and we’re growing. We innovate defined benefit (DB) pension plans. What are they? Unlike other pension plans, they specifically define the lifetime benefits our members will receive in retirement. This means that our members know exactly what they’re getting every month – for life! Because we provide that certainty, we help more Canadians retire with greater financial security and priceless peace of mind and take pressure off the social safety net at the very same time, which frees up those resources for other Canadians who really need them.
Reporting to the Manager, Marketing Pension Solutions the Lead, Growth Marketing Communications will lead content development and delivery of a multichannel communications strategy and events program targeting a range of external stakeholders. As part of a diverse leadership team operating in a fast-paced and changing environment, the incumbent will bring subject matter expertise of communications best practices, event strategy, people leadership, marketing ethics and exceptional writing and editing skills.
We are looking for someone with the following attributes:
- 5-7 years’ experience in content development, event planning and marketing campaign execution in a business to business (B2B) environment (preferable financial services), including at least 2 years of people leadership experience.
- University Degree and/or College Diploma majoring in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or related field. A combination of education and experience be considered. (Member of the IABC or CPRS would be considered an asset).
- Possess both a strategic and creative mind, able to use critical thinking to spot and analyze trends, handle technical and logistical elements, and execute flawless experiential productions.
- Effective communicator, able to lead engagement and influence across diverse internal and external audiences at all levels within an organization. Along with experience identifying key external partnerships and opportunities to help drive brand awareness.
- Writer and editor with a knack for taking highly technical and complex information and delivering distilled messages and scripts that resonate with target audiences.
- Demonstrated success in leading the technical production and planning of virtual, hybrid and in person events. Proven project management skills, able to manage multiple competing deadlines.
- Command of relevant applications including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Pro Reader, Marketing Automation Software (e.g., HubSpot), Survey software (e.g., Survey Gizmo, SurveyMonkey) and the ability to align materials to relevant brand standards.
Once here you will:
- Partner with the Business Development leadership team to craft strategies that reach new customers in innovative ways and to deliver compelling messaging that resonates with our target market.
- Develop, direct, and execute an event marketing strategy across hosted, shared and sponsored events, to maximize participation by key decision-makers and raise access and influence among CAAT’s target employers.
- Establish and foster industry association and event organizer contacts, gaining preferred access and creating opportunities to showcase CAAT leaders and embed CAAT’s strategic messages into event content. Makes it easier for event planners to deploy CAAT spokespeople over competitors.
- Identify and deploys appropriate internal spokespeople at hosted, earned and sponsored events to showcase and raise the profile of CAAT, as well as the profile and influence of its spokespeople – in turn raising the company’s profile and strategic influence with clients, prospects and other industry stakeholders.
- Define and govern the content strategy, brand-level marketing, and events for everything from campaigns to targeted engagements to drive large lead volumes and high engagement levels to support new member acquisition.
- Provide thought leadership and guidance to translate complex technologies and concepts into easy to understand targeted, relevant, and snackable content to ensure format, function and value are optimized.
- See the “big picture” and meet business objectives in all stages of planning, design, and production. Initiate and produce ranges of content with high value added for interprovincial markets (white papers, thought leader opinion, practical guides, etc.).
What does CAAT offer you and what should you know about us?
- Our vision is to provide an environment where employees can bring their whole, authentic selves to work. That’s what drives our high-performance, fun culture – one that’s truly one of a kind. In fact, we have been recognized as one of Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures for 2019 and 2020, as one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers for 2020 and 2021, and by Canadian HR Reporter as one of the Best Places to Work for 2021.
- We provide (no big surprise here!) membership in CAAT’s defined benefit (DB) pension plan, a flexible and friendly work environment, a comprehensive health and dental benefits package, life insurance, and an array of wellness programs
- Everyone is a leader at CAAT, so we invest in our people and enthusiastically support your career development goals, regardless of your role, with access to tuition aid and learning opportunities like our ground-breaking CAAT Academy
- We are conveniently located at the Eaton Centre in downtown Toronto, next to Queen Subway station, with ready access to multiple TTC routes, GO Transit, and the PATH.
- We are working remotely at present due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and in the future will be offering a flexible, hybrid work arrangement.
