Hybrid Work Solutions Marketing is an exciting, new team within Personal Systems Marketing at HP, on a mission to help companies address the challenges employees are facing in the new era of work. 

The Strategy, Planning and Operations Leader plays a critical role within the HWS Marketing team, working across the team and with key stakeholders in the GBU, Category, PS Marketing, and Global and Local Marketing teams. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Marketing, this role will lead the team’s rhythm-of-business, budget planning/management, executive reviews, long-term planning, internal communications, key initiatives, and operational processes/compliance. 

This role requires an exceptional level of marketing, communications, and planning skills in addition to a proven track record of juggling multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. The successful candidate thinks strategically, communicates effectively, and is organized, detail oriented, proactive, and skilled in partnering with team members and leading cross-functional teams. Experience with program management, Excel, and PowerPoint in addition to knowledge of HP systems, tools, and processes are key for this role. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the HWS Marketing team’s rhythm-of-business, including staff and team meetings and business and executive reviews across the GBU and PS Marketing.
  • Plan, track and manage the HWS Marketing budget – ensure alignment of investments to business/marketing strategy and priorities, measure ROI, and drive efficiencies.
  • Lead planning for executive reviews, including content development, alignment with stakeholders, obtaining data/insights, creating concise/compelling presentations, and managing follow-through.
  • Drive long-term planning process with HWS Marketing Leadership Team and key stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute internal marketing communications, including HWS Marketing Team communications, pan-PS and cross-company programs to increase awareness of HWS.
  • Spearhead key HWS marketing initiatives, managing and tracking progress and escalations.
  • Create and manage key HWS team tools (e.g., HWS Marketing Team SharePoint).
  • Oversee and manage operational processes, ensuring team compliance with HP policies.

Education and Experience Required

  • BA or BS in Communications, Marketing or Business Administration.
  • 8-10 years of experience in business, marketing, communications in the tech industry.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Proven track record as a Chief-of-Staff, Business Manager, or a Strategy, Planning and Ops Leader.
  • Deep experience in marketing and communications, ideally in the B2B tech industry.
  • Hard skills in strategic planning, program management, written communications.
  • Soft skills in cross-functional leadership, problem solving, and navigating through ambiguity.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and data-driven decision making.
  • Experience in organizational improvement, process optimization, and team building/development.
  • Ability to engage with all levels at the company and to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter, structured thinker, natural leader who thinks strategically but can be scrappy.
