We’re working a minimum of 4 days a week onsite as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary.We are hiring a Sr Product Manager (principal product specialist) to work in the fast-paced, high-visibility Structural Heart Upstream Marketing Team, focusing on Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) pipeline and Transcatheter Pulmonic Valve (TPV) pipeline within Medtronic’s Structural Heart business. Structural Heart is one of Medtech’s most exciting therapy areas and one of Medtronic’s most important growth drivers. This critical role will help to further accelerate Medtronic’s growth in this important market by defining, shaping, and executing the future product pipeline strategy.A Day in a Life
- Be a therapy expert with comprehensive understanding of disease states, current and emerging therapies, existing and future technologies, market trends, barriers for new therapy adoption, and unmet market needs
- Represent the upstream marketing function on product development teams, supporting the development of best-in-class products; work closely with R&D, clinical, regulatory and other key functions to design and develop best-in-class products
- Collect, analyze, and summarize key customer insights through: Voice of Customer (VOC) and Voice of Business (VOB) practices
- Work with product development team members to translate unmet needs into new product requirements to support product development activities, negotiating priorities and trade-offs necessary to meet technical and business goals
- Actively engage physician key opinion leaders (KOLs), current and potential customers, internal stakeholders, and third-party market research groups to identify key strategic areas of focus
- Develop comprehensive business plans to identify and evaluate new business opportunities
- Assess market opportunities through detailed market modeling, defining unmet needs and value propositions, monitoring competitive landscape, understanding the technology landscape
- Define the future innovation and evidence pipeline and participate in strategic portfolio planning activities
- Deliver engaging presentations to internal business partners and external physician experts to articulate the therapy portfolio strategy
Other Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with key opinion leaders, current and future customers, and engage deeply with physicians on clinical, scientific, and market-related topics
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to execute projects with speed, decisiveness, and quality
- Identify and champion new and creative approaches to business, operations and marketing opportunities and challenges.
- Provide senior management and cross-functional partners with updates, reports, content, and presentations regarding marketing initiatives
Able to travel up to 35%Must Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 7+ years in a marketing, sales, strategy or engineering role (5+ years with Masters)
- Project management experience

- MBA or technical Master’s Degree
- Upstream/Strategic marketing experience including innovation and evidence pipeline and participate in portfolio planning activities

- Track-record and passion for effectively partnering with cross-functional teams
- Medical device or other healthcare industry experience
