Sr. Manager Marketing (maternity cover 6 months)

The Senior Marketing Manager role will be responsible for ensuring the Risk Intelligence marketing strategy of LSEG is activated with maximum impact and relevance to our customers and accounts in their respective markets, through design and delivery of end-to-end tactical marketing programs.

Key responsibilities

  • Marketing strategy – be the voice of our marketplace, our segments and our customers.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders from the Product, Sales, Strategy and Business Development teams in partnership with the wider Business Marketing team, to effectively define and articulate our Risk Intelligence
  • Partner with other Corporate Affairs and Marketing team to ensure global marketing alignment and customer representation in the Product Lifecycle Management process.
  • Work with other Business Marketing members to challenge the thinking on what customers want, how they buy individually and as organization types and which marketing channels are most effective at engaging them.
  • Prioritize and support target customer segments, proposition, product and service priorities, core engagement channels and themes.Marketing campaign planning and content development – translate strategy into meaningful opportunity.
  • Translate growth and retention targets into specific and impactful marketing programs for target communities and key workflows, tightly interlocked with the Product, Sales, Strategy and Business Development teams to drive retention and commercial opportunities.
  • Oversee and manage the marketing budget for the business areas aligned to a holistic and individual customer segment marketing plan.
  • Propose campaigns that will help promote Risk Intelligence business priorities, driving awareness, opportunities and sales – and position us as innovative solutions provider in the market.
  • Ensure there is targeted messaging that is compelling, differentiated and aligned to customer workflow, ensure this is scaled throughout all internal and external marketing activities globally.
  • Support development of content for core business areas to deliver on marketing programmes
  • Work with internal and external partners to develop and deploy relevant marketing content for key campaigns and programmes
  • Partner with the Digital team to ensure desirable customer experience across product, web, communications and more.

Marketing performance and contribution

  • Set clear standards and monitor metrics to report on ROI and course correct based on learning as required.
  • Analyse sales and market metrics, forecast market trends and research market to identify new opportunities.
  • Work closely with centres of expertise across the Marketing and broader CAM function to provide a holistic view of plans and performance.
  • Manage the analysis of customer and market data, driving insight back into the marketing strategies and plans to course correct as needed.

Skills and requirements

  • Experience of B2B marketing planning and delivery
  • Good relationship management skills to satisfy a wide range of internal and external stakeholders with different priorities
  • Strong ability to learn, listen and collaborate

  • Experience supporting the development of tactical marketing planning, with a knowledge of the end-to-end process
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong oral, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and communicate complex information to all levels of the organization.
  • Strong understanding of data and insight analysis, knowing which metrics to pinpoint and use
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to negotiate through a diverse and global matrix structure
