PURPOSE:

Calumet Specialty Products is positioning its unique portfolio of premium brands to drive accelerated growth for Calumet Specialty Products downstream. The role of Sr. Industrial Channel Marketing Manager represents an exciting opportunity to execute the channel strategy and lead implementation of the growth agenda for the Royal Purple, TruFuel, Bel-Ray and BioMax brands across the U.S. and select international markets.

The Sr. Industrial Channel Marketing Manager will play a key role in delivering the product portfolio objectives and will be responsible for developing and executing programs that support channel marketing strategies to ensure delivery of annual Revenue & EBITDA targets. This role requires partnership across functional teams, including but not limited to Brand Marketing, Industrial & Commercial sales, R&D, operations, finance, and legal. This role will report to the Sr. Channel Marketing Director.

KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead in a way that reflects Calumet’s Vision, Mission, and Values as the Industrial Channel Marketing Subject Matter Expert
  • Manage channel development in support of the long-term growth strategy to achieve aggressive 5-year Revenue & EBITDA goals.
  • Manage the portfolio annual planning process for industrial and commercial channels working in effective collaboration with sales and brand marketing to ensure delivery of targets.
  • Own the channel insight development and management information analysis & reporting process to ensure objectives alignment across business unit.
  • Manage development of programs that support key sector & customer prospecting and cultivation, aligning customer objectives with those of Calumet using Challenger skills.
  • Work with cross functional teams to develop b to b communications, portfolio, promotional programs, & merchandising.
  • Effectively collaborate with other marketing managers to control program costs that impact EBITDA and the P&L.
  • Manage development and execution of market specific communication plans and new product launches.
  • Analyze/report POS, inventory, market share, competitive insights, and innovation to marketing & sales management teams.
  • Track program/promotional effectiveness and recommend changes and improvements as required.
  • Work closely with the sales team to identify distribution opportunities and manage customer roster to maximize sales and profitability via effective mix management and driving availability.
  • Lead implementation of new Prospect Database & Communications Programs to build demand and fill the Industrial Customer and/or Distributor pipeline.
  • Lead domestic and international channel marketing planning and implementation for BioMax expansion project.
  • Contribute to development of Industrial and Commercial Training Platform
  • Oversee channel program budgets, metrics and timelines with discipline to drive flawless execution, hitting all milestones within budget.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years of experience in Industrial sales and/or marketing management, strategic planning, P&L management support.
  • Lubricants and chemicals industry experience preferred, particularly balanced among channels noted above.
  • Strong track record of effective partnering and collaboration with cross functional team members.
  • Ability to effectively brief, lead and maintain accountability with agency partners.
  • Strong strategic planning and project management skills; highly organized.
  • Ability to oversee and track multiple projects with due dates and varying requirements and priorities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering results plus the ability to accept high levels of delegated responsibility.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
