Brief Summary of Work for this Position | Reporting directly to the Associate AD for External Affairs, and working closely with the Assistant Director Marketing and the Marketing Assistant & Fan Development Coordinator, the intern will work with the coaching staff for assigned athletic programs to meet their individual marketing needs. This is a temporary, part-time (20 hours per week), ten month (August through May) position. Responsibilities include: • Assisting in executing a marketing plan tailored specifically to each assigned sport. • Planning and executing all game day promotions for each assigned sport and assist in managing a student staff of 20-25 for the home games. •Promoting each program on the official social media accounts of the marketing department and assisting with the managing of our Team Teal student database. • Attending special events and orientations on campus to promote UNCW Athletics. • Working with SAAC to coordinate all special events and off campus volunteer opportunities for athletes. • Act as a community relations contact with area your groups and elementary schools • Work closely with the Seahawk Club, Athletics Facilities and Events, and the Athletic Ticket Office for fan engagement related activities.
