Overview
Shopper Marketing is part of the Trade and Shopper Marketing within the Marketing function. The team deliver cross channel shopper activations across all retail sectors with a focus on Grocery accounts and across Birds Eye UK.
The Shopper Marketing Executive is responsible for implementation and positive influencing of shopper marketing and shopper behaviour in Aunt Bessie’s, Birds Eye and Goodfella’s. Developing a strong programme of instore and online activity aligned with marketing, sales and category objectives by working with our customers and internal functions. Work with other members of the Aunt Bessie’s, Birds Eye and Goodfella’s teams and support agencies to ensure consistent communication within retailer guidelines and to make things happen.
Responsibilities
- Support Shopper Marketing team to manage Shopper marketing activity
- Complete briefing forms for the retailers media agencies across all accounts, engage Retailer media agencies and creative agencies to implement initiatives based on shopper insight
- Own Brandbank, ensure all images are up to date and that customers and agencies are using the correct images
- Ownership of own accounts and projects to drive the shopper marketing agenda from initiative through to launch
- Complete briefing forms and liaise with the shopper marketing agency
- Liaise cross functionally to land instore shopper activity
- Support the budget process, Invoice Management and timely tracking of EAM and budget tracker
- Ensure shopper activity planner is up to date with all tasks and deadlines
- Ensure customer shopper plans are up to date with the latest activity and funding levels with timely communication to the business
- Weekly retailer store visits and online checks to ensure activity has landed correctly, to track competitor activity and to understand shopper behaviour within the Frozen category and reported to the business
- Proactively manage allocated accounts incl planning, day to day campaign management, trade presentations, liaison with buyers and commercial teams
- Full ownership of ROI evaluation process and presentation back to the business
- Support internal and external branded reports with key stats and data
- Understand level of investment required by customer and present back to Senior Shopper Marketing Manager
Management of all Shopper Marketing housekeeping with budget management responsibility
Recommendations by customer for instore activity based on category performance
Shopper Marketing activation delivery in allocated accounts
ROI and evaluation of all campaigns
Qualifications
Essential
- Educated to A Level
- GSCE Qualifications Grade C/4 or above in Maths and English
- Previous experience working with FMCG retailers/Customer environment
- Marketing qualifications or experience 2+ years
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Tenacious approach to achieve targets
- Positive/personable attitude
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ownership and responsibility for achieving personal growth
Desirable
- Marketing/Business studies Degree
- Experience working with or in a marketing agency ideally within a shopper marketing or online environment
- Understanding of the instore guidelines and capabilities for each customer
