The Senior Marketing Specialist plays a pivotal role in contributing to the identification, development and management of a portfolio of tactical marketing campaigns, marketing communications, programs and initiatives that align to Telstra’s goals and objectives and achieve market share growth.

We are looking for a Senior Marketing Specialist who will be working with the Small Business Segment Mission team to execute 1:1 eDM led marketing campaigns to drive sales demand to our channels.

As a Senior Marketing Specialist, you will work with proposition team members to bring their offers to life in communications, work with legal to ensure compliance, and our agency partners to develop amazing creative work. This role will have a large focus on direct marketing campaigns, including eDM, SMS and OTM comms channels. This role is a Senior role within the mission, and we are looking for a 1:1 expert who can develop a holistic SMB 1:1 program and who can also lead the delivery of said program. This person will be responsible for end to end program development and implementation, including creative development, stakeholder engagement, legal engagement and then campaign implementation reporting & learnings analysis.

The Senior Marketing Specialist plays a key role in supporting the delivery of marketing campaigns that align to Telstra’s goals and objectives. You thrive off executing marketing campaigns that increase identified prospects as well as create marketing qualified opportunities and leads for the retail channel both to drive into store and within the store experience.

What you will be doing:

  • Bring your experience in the development and management of a portfolio of best practice B2B marketing campaigns – including tactical and planned campaign activity,.
  • Develop communications plans and customer journeys leveraging Push, Email, SMS, MMS and OTM activity across the brand, aligning to the ATL work to deliver a cohesive and consistent brand experience to our SMB customers
  • Understand CRM systems and be able to write a data brief that our MA team can deliver to; you need to have an understanding of:
  • Salesforce marketing cloud
  • Personalised emails and SMS and PUSH notifications
  • Multi-channel Journeys
  • Commercial and Transactional comms
  • Have a detailed understanding of the legal and regulatory environment that Telstra operates in, and apply this to customer communications and experiences as relevant
  • Execute communications plans to support T22, particularly our goals to simplify our product offering for customers
  • Partner with Proposition team to determine the customer value proposition
  • Develop and establish key elements of marketing campaigns, programs and initiatives both internal and external, ensuring adherence to brand policy, guidelines and established business processes
  • Establish and manage relationships with key internal and external marketing partners
  • Manage budgets and ensure all activity is in plan and in budget
  • Participate and embrace the ways of working mindsets and practices for the team

To be successful in the role, you’ll bring skills and experience in:

Key requirements:

  • Graduate Degree – Marketing, Commerce, or equivalent
  • 10+ years experience in 1:1 communications
  • Solid background and experience in Marketing Strategy and Planning Capability
  • Strong experience across one or more marketing and/or commerce-related domain expertise
  • Exposure to data driven marketing
  • 1:1 marketing channels

High desirable:

  • Mail house management
  • Marketing automation eg. Salesforce Marketing Cloud
