The Senior Marketing Operations Specialist role is a key position with the Global Marketing Team at 8×8. We are underway with an ambitious improvement plan for how Marketing Operations supports Sales & Marketing teams, and contributes to the betterment of our commercial funnel, and are looking for someone who can help maintain existing requirements, while working on phased-release projects across our 2 year roadmap.

We work with a lot of different SaaS technology providers, and don’t expect you to know the ins-and-outs of every tool we work with, but hands-on experience working with a Marketing Automation System (preferably Marketo) and CRM (preferably Salesforce.com) is expected. A good understanding of implementing third-party integrations, data hygiene processes, automating routine tactics, and demonstrating experience of managing performance through reports and dashboards would be desirable also.

The ideal candidate is someone who can work independently, and is able to take a request and deliver to specified requirements, but can also discuss alternative solutions that may drive better results when necessary. They must be comfortable working with team members from a range of different locations and backgrounds, and understand how their contributions fit into the overall Marketing Operations Strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop demand campaigns based on Go-To-Market plans and marketing best practices.
  • Determine the tactics, channels, testing plans, timeline and metricsManage all aspects of campaign execution and evaluating and improving the production processes. Project intake, assignment, team communications, troubleshoot and QA campaigns, workflows, data issues and other key campaign operational functions.
  • Familiar with the requirement and process for different campaign tactics: email/nurture, search, social, event, content syndication etc.
  • Assist with the lead management process which includes capturing, qualifying and passing leads to sales teams for action
  • Manage an email campaign calendar to prevent overlap of campaigns, monitor email frequency for each target audience, and set expectations for stakeholders across marketing, sales, and productBuild strong relationships with campaign managers, channel marketing, and sales development.
  • Maintain clear and coherent communication, both verbal and written, to understand campaign requests and share results with stakeholders

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education background: No degree required if strong experience in tools listed below. Degree required with some level of experience in automation and CRMs
  • Strong experience in marketing operations or similar type role with at least one of the tools: Marketo (preferred), Eloqua, or Hubspot
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS for email development, A/B testing, email validation, rendering and email marketing best practices
  • Marketing automation platforms proficiency required with experience in campaign execution, nurture programs, audience segmentation, tokens, lead scoring and more
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce lead/contact/campaign objects and as an integrated CRM platform
  • Basic understanding of database architecture, attribution model, digital campaign tracking and measurement 
  • Knowledge about email compliance (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL)
  • Comfortable working in a face-paced environment with a highly engaged cross functional team
