The Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Director, Head of Global Sector and Segments Marketing, and serving the Global Sector Heads of Infrastructure, Transport & Leisure, this role will be responsible for leading and executing sector-focused marketing campaigns on a global scale. This pivotal role entails developing strategic marketing plans, creating impactful content to support sector growth, coordinating with various teams and member firms, and overseeing the implementation of innovative marketing programs tailored to specific sectors. You will act as a bridge between global marketing strategies and local execution, ensuring campaigns are effective, cohesive, and aligned with the firm’s overarching marketing objectives and sector-specific goals.

What you will do

  • Assist the Global Head of Sector and Segment Marketing in developing and executing sector-led global marketing campaigns. Participate in marketing campaign planning with a focus on sector-specific market positioning, messaging, and customization strategies.
  • Develop marketing plans and overarching positioning for sector vertical(s), collaborating with sector heads to align business and marketing plans. Focus on hero thought leadership, marquee events, competitive landscape, and fields of play.
  • Partner with sector leadership to evaluate marquee events for their potential to enhance brand awareness and create positive publicity. Develop and execute promotional strategies, such as social media and targeted email campaigns, aimed at empowering local member firms to effectively generate leads through these events. Facilitate the planning and execution of event outreach to maximize local impact and support.
  • Lead the development and oversee the production of engaging, sector-specific content, adhering to thought leadership quality standards.
  • Customize global campaigns for sector-specific needs, collaborating with campaign leads and sector teams for effective execution.
  • Engage with global sector leaders, global priority accounts and member firms, incorporating KPMG case studies, client stories, and people stories into sector programs.
  • Prepare and distribute content toolkits to member firms, ensuring high quality, timely distribution, and ease of customization.
  • Participate in global marketing campaign discussions to develop sector-specific market positioning, messaging, and strategies.
  • Manage monthly and annual budgets, analyzing variances and highlighting significant issues to leadership.
  • Track and measure the impact and effectiveness of global content and events.

What you bring to the role

  • Minimum seven years of combined marketing and business experience; experience in professional services or similar corporate environment preferred.
  • Experience developing compelling value propositions for services/campaigns and creating integrated issue-based platforms for promoting relationships and generating revenue.
  • Experience working with and consulting senior management.
  • Demonstrable success in developing and implementing complex (and preferably international) marketing programs – experience working in a professional services environment will be an advantage.
  • Experience in working with content management systems to deliver content marketing programs and create digital demand generation campaigns in the business-to-business field.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to get buy-in and support for projects from diverse and often widespread stakeholders. Experience of the above in a global, matrix context would be very advantageous.
  • Experience developing multi-platform campaigns with a focus on social media and digital channels.
  • Diploma or under graduate degree preferably in marketing related qualifications. Post graduate qualifications in a marketing related discipline is desirable.
