With a community-centred brand at the core of our business, we have our finger on the pulse of the industry and a wealth of experience to be able to facilitate and create premier event experiences.Job Description**This is hybrid role with one day per week in the office (Canterbury)**Job Purpose:The Senior Marketing Executive plays a crucial role in driving the success of our events through advanced strategic input and hands-on execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns. This position works directly with the Global Events Manager to ensure marketing initiatives are highly effective in achieving commercial objectives, enhancing audience engagement, and maximising sponsor satisfaction. The Senior Marketing Executive will take a lead on complex campaigns, overseeing their full lifecycle from advanced audience targeting and compelling content creation to in-depth performance analysis and strategic reporting. This role requires a proactive, commercially astute individual capable of driving measurable results, upholding brand consistency, and continuously innovating our marketing approaches to support the growth and reputation of The Recruitment Events Co.’s events.Key Responsibilities:1. Marketing Strategy & Planning:Provide significant input into and execute comprehensive marketing strategies for assigned event portfolios, aligning with the vision set by the Business Operations Director and Global Events Manager.Conduct advanced market research and audience analysis to identify nuanced opportunities and inform sophisticated campaign planning.Define and track ambitious marketing objectives, KPIs, and success metrics for all campaigns.Actively contribute to and help refine the global events ‘playbook’ regarding marketing best practices and templating.2. Campaign Leadership & Execution:Lead the end-to-end execution of complex multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, email, social media, content, PR, partnerships) to drive delegate registrations, sponsorship, and exhibitor engagement.Oversee the creation of highly compelling marketing collateral, ensuring exceptional copy and visual assets that resonate with target audiences.Manage specific campaign budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and demonstrable ROI.Implement precise and innovative audience targeting strategies and expertly manage CRM systems for advanced lead nurturing and robust sales pipeline support.3. Performance Analysis & Optimisation:Proactively monitor and conduct in-depth analysis of campaign performance against KPIs, providing regular, insightful reports and strategic recommendations to the Global Events Manager and wider stakeholders.Utilise advanced data and analytics to identify key trends, opportunities, and areas for optimisation, implementing agile, real-time adjustments to significantly improve campaign effectiveness.Lead the production of comprehensive post-event reports and ROI summaries for sponsors, clearly demonstrating the value and impact of their investment.Drive the testing and evaluation of new campaign formats, creative concepts, and messaging strategies, contributing to broader advocacy marketing initiatives and boosting overall campaign effectiveness.4. Stakeholder & Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal teams (sales, content, operations) to ensure seamless campaign integration and delivery.Liaise effectively with external suppliers, agencies, and partners, managing relationships to ensure optimal outcomes.Work directly with sponsors to deeply understand their objectives and ensure all marketing deliverables not only meet but exceed their expectations.5. Brand & Content Oversight:Ensure all marketing communications adhere rigorously to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent, high-quality tone of voice across all platforms.Contribute to the templating and adaptation of marketing and communications collateral for global use, ensuring brand consistency across all events.Drive content strategy for marketing materials, including website content, email campaigns, and social media.QualificationsExperience: A minimum of 3-5 years’ proven experience in a marketing role, with significant hands-on experience in event marketing or a closely related field.Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to contribute to and execute strategic marketing plans, coupled with highly proficient data analysis and reporting skills to translate complex data into actionable insights.Commercial Acumen: Robust understanding of commercial objectives and a demonstrated ability to drive revenue through effective marketing efforts.Campaign Leadership: Proven track record of leading and delivering successful, complex marketing campaigns from inception to completion.Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of crafting highly persuasive copy and presenting effectively to diverse internal and external audiences.Project Management: Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently in a fast-paced environment.Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in CRM systems, email marketing platforms, CMS, and marketing analytics tools.Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Proactive & Adaptable: A highly proactive, results-driven individual who is adaptable to changing priorities and committed to continuous improvement and innovation.
