Oracle Bronto is searching for an amazing content marketer to manage and execute content marketing campaigns. As part of the marketing team, this individual will work closely with demand generation, creative, product management , and sales teams to drive leads and help accelerate them through the buyer’s journey.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Position is based out of our Durham, NC location
  • 8+ years’ experience in content creation experience and understanding of the lead generation, marketing and brand landscape
  • Undergraduate degree in English, journalism, or marketing
  • 8 years relevant work experience
  • Able to research and identify best practices in roles and industries you may not be familiar with
  • 5+ years managing a team of individual contributors
  • Excellent time management and project management skills
  • Understands content across various channels with experience managing campaigns across channels (e.g., email, social, sales)
  • Experienced and highly competent writer who can quickly modify a piece of content for use in multiple channels in various formats
  • Outstanding written/verbal communication skills and professionalism, with the ability to interact well with a diverse group of technical and non-tech people, including senior executives, sales, marketing, product development, partners and customers
  • Experience working at a fast-paced startup, agency or deadline-driven organization
  • Publication – journalism background can be a plus when paired with corporate experience
  • You can work with minimum supervision and be capable of strategically prioritizing multiple tasks in a proactive manner
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Able to perform in a fast-paced working environment and deal well with ambiguity

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Write, edit, produce and curate outstanding content about the value and benefits of the Bronto email marketing solution, driving initial copy development to asset production. Assets include lead generation emails, customer, white papers, data sheets, social and thought leadership pieces.
  • Manage content team of direct reports as well as external suppliers
  • Provides content development, technical orientation and user perspective to online products, services, communities by guiding and ensuring consistency throughout the site with respect to Oracle’s image and quality standards
  • Take a metrics-driven approach to optimize content strategy
  • Confers with project teams to develop and implement digital content and applications
  • Serves as a liaison among marketing, alliances, product management and product development to integrate a variety of content and to achieve a consistent, successful product for the user
  • Works with cross-functional team members to develop and implement an integrated content strategy
  • Develop techniques on ways to build traffic, generate leads and develop audience.
  • Works with management to develop project objectives
  • Consults with graphic designers and web designers to insure that required technical features are feasible and can be implemented
  • Partners with creative and technical leads to manage overall content strategy
  • May provide project leadership
  • Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others
  • Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in areas of specialization
  • Advanced knowledge of digital design, flow and site organization
  • Advanced technical and strategic understanding of Technology, Applications, and Industry solutions being marketed
  • Repurpose successful content in new ways
  • Create and own content calendar
  • Leverage SEO insights for the content creation process
  • Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search and social promotion
  • Collaborate with sales teams to develop content mapped to buying stages and to distribute content across multiple channels

 

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Development of communication programs to promote Oracle*s products and services.

Direct all marketing activities within the context of the overall corporate plan for the achievement of short and long term business objectives, increased profit and market control. Be an active member of the global Marketing team to ensure consistency of marketing campaigns and messages. Disseminate key corporate information to the line-of-business or geography operations pertaining to new product development/launches. Act as a liaison with managing directors to ensure that marketing activities are in support of sales plans. Direct marketing resources and budget to be deployed using the most appropriate marketing mix for the line-of-business or geography. Focus on best practice and continuous improvement in all business and management activities. Ensure consistency between global directions and line-of-business and single-geography implementation choices. Implement and monitor advertising campaigns on a global or geographic basis. Maintain necessary contact with major suppliers, agencies, customers, industry associations and government representatives to achieve marketing objectives. Provide effective performance management: set clear goals for all staff, provide regular feedback on performance and conduct a formal appraisal at the conclusion of the fiscal year. Manage the activities of the staff according to overall marketing strategies and budgets; through motivation and maintaining high level of individual / team performance. Implement organizational changes in line with changing business and market needs.

Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet business needs. Software business management experience. Sales and Marketing experience in the IT industry. E-business + Internet practical know-how. Professional credentials in Marketing, Academic credentials desirable. Past experience in Sales desirable.
