As our new Legal Counsel/Senior Legal Counsel, you will step into an exciting opportunity to grow within Nexi while contributing to our mission of redefining digital payments. You will act as a trusted advisor to Nets’ Merchant Services (MS) business unit, which provides cutting-edge payment solutions to stores, retailers, web shops and other merchants across all Nordic countries.Nets is part of Nexi Group, one of Europe’s most successful PayTechs, operating in more than 25 countries. Innovation is front-and-centre in all aspects of our business, and we are looking for an individual who takes pride in providing legal advice that supports and facilitates an innovative culture.About Your Future Role
Your key responsibility will be to provide legal support to our Merchant Services business unit, including by:

• Drafting and negotiating customer contracts
• Advising on disputes and contractual matters
• Providing legal and regulatory guidance to the Dankort business, e.g., concerning new projects and campaigns
• Providing legal support for strategic projects and marketing activities

Based in Ballerup, Copenhagen, you will join a multinational team of legal professionals with team members in both Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland. You will report directly to the Head of IS and MS Legal, who is based in Denmark.What Makes You a Great Fit
We’re looking for a driven and passionate professional with the following background and competencies:

• Experience as an attorney-at-law from a law firm and/or in-house legal department
• Excellent legal credentials
• Solid experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts
• English proficiency in writing and orally, as English is our corporate language
• A detail-oriented mindset paired with a pragmatic, commercial approach
• Ability to communicate legal advice in a clear, concise, and solution-oriented manner
• Confidence in presenting complex matters to senior stakeholders
• Experience with financial services is an advantage, but not a requirement
