This is the role

• As a Senior Data Scientist, you will help transform the way ROCKWOOL utilises data and experience how your work empowers the business to make data-driven decisions.
• The potential applications of data science at ROCKWOOL is vast from production and logistics to marketing, sales, and finance.
• You will help realise our Factory of the Future programme by utilising production data to maximise safety and efficiency at our global factories.
• You will be engaged in concrete projects with our business functions advising and driving data science projects. You will work with our ambitious strategy of getting unique customer- and market insights as well as achieving operational excellence through IoT, analytics and algorithms.

You Will

• Engage with stakeholders to identify challenges and areas of improvements in the business
• Drive and create high quality data analysis and machine learning solutions aligned with business needs
• Present solutions and insights in a structured approach to stakeholders
• Pilot, test and deploy solutions in collaboration with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.

You will be based at our office in Hedehusene, Copenhagen area. As you will be engaging with business units across the world, you can expect approximately 10-20% travel to our global locations.

• You have a proven ability to drive business results and find opportunities for product and process optimisation.
• With your willingness to learn and master new technologies and techniques, you use models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action.

Moreover, We Imagine That You Have

• 5+ years of experience in data mining, statistical analysis and machine learning
• A master’s degree or a Ph.D. in statistics, mathematics, computer science or another quantitative field
• Speak and write English fluently
• You have excellent communication skills, allowing you to coordinate across teams and communicate comfortably with non-technical stakeholders

Preferably You Will Have Experience With

• Delivering prototypes in development and in production
• IOT or complex time-series data in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, high-tech or related industry

Areas Of Knowledge

• Proficiency in programming languages, such as R, Python, SQL, etc., to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
• Vast knowledge and experience with classical and advanced machine learning techniques such as GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, NLP, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawback
