The incumbent serves as a specialist in the fields of communication and marketing. In that regard, he/she is responsible for the execution of all projects related primarily to external communications and aligned with Commercial Banking’ marketing plan. In addition to creating original and compelling texts for a broad range of communication tools oriented toward B2B sales, the incumbent will be mandated to develop and implement communication strategies in support of the organization’s sales and marketing teams.
Your role will be to embody the needs and concerns of companies in terms of finance, to work closely with sales teams, to identify opportunities to educate, inform and publicize new and current products and financial services and to put in place strategies for their marketing.
Responsibilities
º Develop, write and produce B2B marketing materials in support of business development and addressing the target publics of our various specializations (Web content, promotional e-mails, product sheets, feature articles, banners, presentations, etc.).
º Participate in the development, structure and update the annual communications plan for the promotion of the sector externally.
º Participate as a communications expert in the different initiatives associated with the Bank’s transformation via the development and implementation of the communications plan as it relates, in particular, to change management.
º Maintain and develop new content and monitor the evolution of the Internet site’s business section pages.
º Stay apprised of new communications trends and best practices.
º Prepare creative briefings for activities within pertinent responsibility areas, assure close coordination with the different sectors and players involved (sales team, suppliers, internal and external partners, creation team), and supervise all phases of execution while applying effective quality control.
º Analyze the results of activities so as to optimize future initiatives through training and the implementation of improvement recommendations.
º Serve as a brand management expert and assure compliance with brand positioning and imaging in all marketing communications projects within his/her responsibility.
º Proactively propose alternative and innovative solutions when issues arise (budget, timeframe, resources), and formulate recommendations concerning marketing communications strategies and tactics.
º Participate in the sector’s budgetary planning, assure the budgetary management and monitoring of projects under his/her responsibility, while analyzing and justifying any variances, and conduct administrative follow-ups relative to supplier quotes and billing.
º Serve as a resource person among less experienced colleagues; could also be called upon to provide functional supervision, coordination and employee coaching.
º Collaborate with marketing and corporate communications teams, as well as with other business lines.
º Execute all other related tasks.
Qualifications
º Hold an undergraduate degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism or a related field. Also possess a minimum of 7-10 years of pertinent experience in a similar position (banking sector an asset).
