Background

The Marketing & Communications department at City comprises four specialist teams who work together for the common purpose of promoting City, its Schools; ensuring the delivery of University and School strategic objectives.

The School Marketing team is responsible for providing City’s academic Schools with strategic and tactical marketing support to align with School plans. Working closely with central Marketing & Communications function and key stakeholders within the Schools, the School’s Marketing team develop and implement plans to meet the specific recruitment and marketing needs of the Schools.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a School Marketing Executive for the School of Health & Psychological Sciences. You will lead on the development of a marketing strategy for the school. You will need to learn the School inside and out, understanding their key priorities, their USPs and their competition.

You will work with the School and the Student Marketing and Recruitment team to lead in the development of a plan that is interlinked and aligned with the Schools and University strategy, and is innovative, creative and dynamic. You will create campaigns across a variety of channels, but predominantly online.

Person Specification

With relevant marketing experience, you will need to be collaborative, quick thinking, creative and willing to engage with the team and the School to present your ideas.

You will have a good visual eye, be able to write engaging text easily with the ability to bring this together (through in house or external agencies) to create beautiful pieces of work that inspire our prospective students to choose City.

You will have a flexible approach to work be results and team orientated, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
