JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
We are embarking on an exciting journey to implement a state-of-the-art Enterprise CRM ecosystem to enhance the overall experience of our students, staff, faculty, alumni and more. We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join the ECRM Program Office within Penn State IT.
As a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our partners’ marketing campaigns through the strategic use of Salesforce Marketing Cloud. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, execute, and optimize email marketing, automation, and customer journey campaigns. This role will also serve as a backup Marketing Cloud Administrator as needed.
The location of this position is flexible and can operate fully remote within the United States, fully in-person at our University Park Campus, or in a hybrid model of both in-person and remote. Standard working hours are in the eastern time zone. Candidates must be able to work in the US without sponsorship.
Primary duties include the following:

Develop and implement Salesforce Marketing Cloud strategies and campaigns.

Design and manage customer journeys, including segmentation, personalization and automation.

Create, optimize, and manage email marketing campaigns, including designing email templates, A/B testing, and optimizing open and click-through rates. Ensure high deliverability and engagement rates.

Stay up-to-date with email marketing regulations and ensure compliance with relevant laws, including CAN-SPAM and GDPR.

Develop and maintain data extensions and data relationships within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

Monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, providing insights for continuous improvement.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, content creators, and data analysts, to ensure successful campaign execution.

Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and Salesforce Marketing Cloud updates to continuously improve our marketing efforts.

Train and support team members on using Marketing Cloud and best practices for campaign management and actively promote user adoption.

Provide technical support and troubleshooting for any issues related to Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree and 4 + years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Email Studio, Automation Studio, Journey Builder, Contact Builder, and Data Extensions, is necessary.

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Certification preferred.

Proficiency in HTML and AMPscript for email template customization and dynamic content preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze campaign performance and make data-driven decisions.

Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Solid understanding of digital marketing best practices and email marketing strategies.
This position will require successful completion of standard background checks.
