The Sales Representative Trainee will successfully manage existing customer accounts and establish new opportunities to achieve annual sales objectives. Additional responsibilities include efficiently managing current customer relationships, prospecting and engaging new customers, partnering with management to complete budget planning, and supporting cross-functional teams to ensure sales strategy execution.How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:

• Thoroughly understand the industry and target customers to qualify opportunities in alignment with Smurfit Westrock sales strategy
• Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of Smurfit Westrock products and pricing structure to resolve inquiries and issues with customer accounts
• Effectively articulate sales vision and strategy to identify leads on new opportunities, manage prospects and develop a robust sales pipeline
• Develop and execute account strategies for new and existing customers to create a customized experience for customers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify value add opportunities to improve margins
• Manage customer engagement through the sales lifecycle to ensure contractual obligations are met and to enable customer satisfaction
• Seek and qualify prospective customers in accordance with Sales strategy

What you need to succeed:

• 3 years of experience interfacing with customers in a B2B field sales environment – Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field – preferred
• Corrugated sales or industrial sales experience strongly preferred
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in teams
• Strategic and analytical thinker with tactical focus
• Must be organized with great time management to manage multiple customer relationships
• Great communication and flexibility to adjust for different audiences
• Business acumen, having knowledge of various areas of business
• Experience with Salesforce.com or relevant software
• Safety mindset
