Castle Fuels (2008) Inc. is a marketer for Suncor/Petro-Canada, providing fuel service, distribution and lubricant products throughout the Cariboo, Thompson-Okanagan and Kootenay regions of BC. The company was established in 2008 with the corporate office located in Kamloops. Castle Fuels (2008) Inc. has 18 bulk plants and cardlocks and employs over 80 employees.

We are in search of an experienced Sales & Marketing Representative to support and grow our Sales & Marketing portfolio.

Reporting to the Manager of Sales and Marketing, this role supports the sales and marketing strategy by keeping current customers engaged and updated with the latest products and services provided by Castle Fuels and continues to develop new business throughout the province of British Columbia.

This position will build strong and trusting relationships both internally and externally and will foster a collaborative, strategic, yet practical approach to stewarding sales & marketing while maintaining an environmentally conscientious culture.

This Position is available in either Kamloops or Kelowna

Some Responsibilities Include:

· Design, review and implement sales and marketing strategies to target and secure new accounts

· Promote, support and evaluate marketing campaigns to build sales and enhance brand recognition.

· Prospect and qualify future account opportunities through cold calling, lead qualifying, presenting proposals and following up

· Services existing accounts, obtain orders, and establishes new accounts

· Assist with preparing contracts and follow through to acceptance

· Build strong working relationships with Petro Canada representatives to coordinate sales efforts

· Attend sales events when required, coordinate and prepare sales packages inclusive of marketing tools, quotes and historical research required and

· Monitor and maintain data regarding sales activities as well as generate and provide input on analytical data to the sales team

· Research and review customer and competitor history and feedback

· Submit activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses to manager.

· Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies

Qualifications

· Post-secondary education with a strong focus on business

· 3-5 years in an outside sales role

· Valid Class 5 driver’s license

· Good practical application MS Office; Word, Excel, Outlook

· Strong understanding of numbers and finance and competent developing and understanding financial reports

· Experience in data management, report generating, research and compiling reports

· A basic knowledge of the wholesale fuel and lubricants business an asset (will be required to learn technical side of products)

· Strong skills in the areas of: prospecting, presentation, negotiations, closing sales and details

· Ability to maintain a professional demeanor while being creative

· Ability to work efficiently, safely yet quickly

· Available for overnight travel a must

· Superior communication skills both written and verbal

· Highly organized with a strong attention to detail

· Proven to be technically savvy (product learning and knowledge is quite technical)

· Able to work with minimal supervision and innately resourceful

· Commitment to quality of work and safety

Working Conditions

· Regular travel required to other sites throughout BC

· Requires daily sitting, walking and standing

· May require some lifting of up to 50 lb. pails

· Occasionally work from home
