Job description: Sales and Marketing ManagerJob PurposeThe Titanic Hotel Belfast, part of the Harcourt Collection, is recruiting a Sales and Marketing Manager to join our award-winning team. We are looking to for a proactive team leader, that thrives in driving revenue and is passionate about the hospitality industry.The Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for maximising sales, driving the hotel brand, and overseeing the day to day running of the Sales and Marketing function of the hotel. Inclusive of managing the sales, marketing, events, and revenue teams, harmonising the culture and brand, continuously driving standards, guest experience and revenue of Titanic Hotel Belfast.About the roleMain Responsibilities and Key TasksWorking with the General Manager, Revenue Manager, Group Marketing Manager and Group Director of Sales and Marketing to deliver strategic business plans. Inclusive of an annual sales and marketing plan, aligned with the hotel objectives and budgetManage the Revenue, Sales, Marketing and Events teams, driving individual development, achieving individual KPI’s, team goals and revenue targets. Establishing a positive and cohesive team cultureResponsible for driving revenue across all segments, achieving revenue targets. Identifying new business, securing groups, contracting transient accounts, and developing established key accountsAttend and manage the sales and marketing team’s attendance at tradeshows, industry events, hosting FAM and press trips and arranging client hotel events, as and when required. This will include some international travel throughout the yearManage sales and marketing expense budget and forecasts are in line with hotel expectations and parametersWorking closely with the GDOSM and the Sales and Marketing Executive to ensure all key campaigns, brand, advertising, and marketing strategies are adhered to, including reputation management onlineComplete monthly, weekly, and annual reporting as and when requiredWork alongside the Revenue Manager, and General Manager to create up to date forecasts throughout the yearKeep up to date with market trends, competitor’s, tourism body initiatives and relationships. Review/amend strategies accordingly in line with the evolving market conditions and the hotels future plansThorough and comprehensive knowledge of Sales and Marketing processesAbility to direct, lead, train, motivate and direct their team. Developing a cooperative and competitive team spirit with a positive attitudeExperience working collaboratively with revenue management, sales, and marketing teams in conjunction with each otherExcellent communicator and presenter, both orally and writtenPossess a solid understanding of marketing toolsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environmentAbility to work to deadlines, be proactive and work a flexible schedule as and when requiredStrong organisational skills, with the capacity to self-prioritiseGuest centric, with an understanding of the internal and external customer needsFamiliarise yourself with our Core Values TITANIC which link to the desired behaviours that we expect all our employees to displayTo have a thorough knowledge of and adherence to the law with regard to the following company regulations:Fire regulations and proceduresHealth and safety regulationsFirst aid proceduresTo undertake special duties or work outside the normal daily/weekly routine but within the overall scope of the position at the request of the Deputy General Manager/General ManagerMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSAny combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilitiesShould have at least 3 years’ experience as a Sales ManagerExperience in the hospitality industryGood written and verbal EnglishValid driving licencePREFERRED REQUIREMENTSDegree level educationAny combination of education in the following fields: hospitality management, business, sales, revenue, and/or marketingAbout the companyTitanic Hotel Belfast is located in the former headquarters of Harland & Wolff, builders of Titanic, and provides the perfect destination for anyone traveling to Titanic Quarter on business or for pleasure.Belfast is the birthplace of Titanic and this heritage hotel is a sister to our award-winning .   • At least 3 years’ experience as a Sales Manager
  • Experience in the hospitality industry
  • Good written and verbal English
  • Valid driving licence
  • Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Desired Criteria

  • Degree level education
  • Any combination of education in the following fields: hospitality management, business, sales, revenue, and/or marketing
