About us

Our Holmes Chapel shop is looking for volunteers to join the team. We are a fresh and bright small community shop with a large selection of fashion, bric-a-brac, books and media to browse through. Sue Ryder Holmes Chapel Our shop is located on the shopping parade in the village of Holmes Chapel. We are a fresh and bright small community shop with a boutique feel staffed by helpful and friendly volunteers. Our stock is all donated from the surrounding area and consists of ladies and men’s clothing and accessories – all cut above the norm. Alongside fashion we have a large selection of bric-a-brac, books and media to browse through. We also now stock a large selection of new goods, spanning everything from home and garden items to sweets and cards.

About you

Do you have an eye for a bargain, get excited about sustainable fashion, love helping customers discover pre-loved treasures and want to join a friendly team – if so we want you.

Please note – we do have a minimum age requirement in our shops of 18. We regret that we cannot proceed with your application if you are not yet 18.

You will also be helping us to inspire communities to provide more care for more people through innovating and collaborating on ways to reduce, reuse and recycle.

Full training will be provided, and travel at a reasonable local rate can be reimbursed for shifts of four hours or more, as agreed with the local manager.

How much time does the role take up?

Volunteering is flexible and can be a regular morning or afternoon. You can opt for weekdays, weekends, or as and when you are available.
