Retail Sales and Marketing Executive, K&B Malaysia
BASIC FUNCTIONS
Reporting to the Country Manager, K&B Malaysia, this position is responsible for developing and implementing sales target at retail customer base and e-commerce area, and carry out marketing programs and activities in Malaysia. The incumbent is to drive the retail sales and e-commerce sales business of Malaysia, formulate sales strategy, develop sales forecast, and direct retailers and e-commerce enabler to achieve sales targets; pursue major prospects and lead in major negotiations; conduct sales training to distributors/dealers. It is also required of this incumbent to provide trade and digital marketing activities support to Malaysia.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Retail Sales:
1. Understand and monitor Kohler’s distributors, dealers, retailers, competitors and other market information.
2. Maintain a close connection with distributors, dealers and retailers in respective region.
3.Coordinate, develop, evaluate and audit yearly budget of retail and e-commerce development execution in respective region.
4. Develop and supervise a strategic, consistent and long-term retail sales network.
5. Recommend, guide, develop and assess new retail sales network.
6. Advise on problem solving methods in relation to distributors, dealers, retailers and customer complaints.
7. Coordinate the retail activities in respective region in order to achieve the sales objectives.
8. Provide training and guidance to the sales teams in distributors/dealers to increase awareness of the importance and profitability of retail market.
9. Maintain the competitiveness of the retail sales activities and be well-versed on the retail market situation and the competition.
Trade Promotion Management and Marketing Support
1. Take full ownership of Go-to-market execution, develop excellent working relationships with partners including Distributors, Dealers and A&Ds.
2. Coordinate with Distributors and Dealers to develop & implement Campaigns/ Retail Promotion programs and track for ROI and providing trade marketing support to Distributors and Dealers.
3. Ensure all Brand Assets used by Distributors and Dealers on print, display and online are consistent to Branding Guidelines.
4. Propose and execute full year Marketing Calendar
5. Collaborate with Regional Marketing Communication Manager in planning & organizing Trade events/ Showroom opening events etc.
6. Manage trade loyalty program (KOHLER Design Community)
7. To understand the market and industry for basic channel management work. Support annual channel marketing plans for assigned markets, including retail promotions, sales forecast for new product development, projected market penetration for online and offline channels, and support product/ projects modifications.
Responsible for KPIs tracking for all campaigns and media channels and conduct regular review with agencies to achieve above targeted KPI.
8. To compile market information in the various sales channels on regular basis of assigned market for management analysis.
Ensure effective roll out of appropriate product assortment, marketing assets and merchandize to showrooms, retail shops, and online platforms.
9. Coordinate with Channel Marketing to develop marketing tools to promote products in the showroom, outdoor and other potential channels, and showroom designer on all showroom matters such as showroom image upgrade project, new product roll-out, new POP etc.
10. Conduct brand and product training for external sales teams in distributor and dealers’ channels.
Liaise on regional or local Selling tools & Literatures to support Sales force
Digital/ E-Commerce
1. Responsible for Digital Marketing including website, social media, SEM, SEO, e-commerce, etc.
2. Work with Regional Team to design and/or adapt an effective creative and media brief with appointed agencies for a strong and insightful proposal.
3. Design and manage digital marketing calendar leverage on global/ regional and local content & assets.
4. Manage digital agency to perform according to plan and achieve above KPI for all media channel and campaigns
5. Work with distributors and internal team for the e-commerce promotions and activities and live streams for assigned market.
6. Manage enquiries and leads coming from the e-commerce, websites and Facebook.
RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS
1. Report to Country Manager – K&B Malaysia, with a dotted line to Senior Manager-Marcoms & Digital Marketing, K&B SNEA
2. Frequent contact with regional Marketing team and customer service teams
3. Communicate with different people in the retail market, and distributors.
Skills/Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
1. University graduate or above with strong business acumen
2. At least 5-6 years of experience in retail development or sales management preferably gained from plumbing or consumer durable manufacturing industries, with experience in managing distributors and market development. Good training, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
3. Candidates with more experience may be considered for Supervisor or Associate Manager positions
