About the Position:
The Retail Buyer at Cafe Memory Lane is responsible for sourcing Turkish and halal products for the Mediterranean corner’s retail sales and procuring high-quality ingredients and supplies for the cafe’s Turkish and Mediterranean menu. This role requires fluency in Turkish to engage with suppliers from Turkey, strong market analysis, and negotiation skills to ensure stock and supplies meet customer demand and support the cafe’s growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor sales data and stock levels for the Mediterranean corner and cafe supplies to optimize inventory.
Study trade, manufacturers’, and market information to stay informed of changing market conditions for retail and cafe products.
Negotiate purchase, promotion, and supply arrangements with suppliers from Turkey for retail goods and cafe ingredients.
Design and implement pricing, marketing, promotional, and display strategies for retail products.
Liaise with management on long-term planning and sales promotions for both retail and cafe operations.
Establish working plans based on seasonal and budgetary requirements for retail and cafe procurement.
Anticipate consumer trends and determine the quantity, style, and quality of retail goods and cafe supplies to be purchased.
Requirements:

Qualifications: Certificate IV in Retail Management or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in retail buying or procurement.
Fluency in Turkish (written and spoken) to communicate with suppliers from Turkey.
Good knowledge of Turkish foods and products.
Strong analytical skills for monitoring sales and market trends.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in designing pricing and promotional strategies.
Ability to anticipate consumer trends and manage inventory effectively.
Organizational skills to handle seasonal and budgetary planning.
