And with biosolutions, the possibilities for transformation are endless.We’re here to better our world with biology.Join us as our new Research Scientist, Advanced Gastrointestinal SimulationWe are seeking a passionate and forward-thinking scientist with gastrointestinal expertise to join our applied research team – a small, dynamic group of experts dedicated to study the impact of dietary supplements on microbial communities and their interplay with humans by using advanced in vitro models such as TIM and SHIME.You will be responsible for scoping, planning and executing experiments in close collaboration with the team as well as cross-functional with core R&D, data science and project management. You will engage in preclinical research focused on microbiomics, metabolomics, and cell-based assays. You will generate and analyze data, interpret findings, and communicate results in multiple formats tailored for both scientific and commercial audiences.Welcome to the Dietary Supplements department (Human Health Biosolutions)Novonesis is shaping the future of dietary supplements with groundbreaking innovations in prebiotics probiotics and postbiotics. Our culture thrives on teamwork, creative freedom, and shared purpose, empowering you to bring bold ideas to life while working alongside talented and supportive colleagues.In this role you’ll make an impact by:Learning new things and taking ownership for equipment processes and project tasks as well as planning of your daily workContinuously optimizing methods and processes using the latest scientific and technological knowledge in applied researchActively supporting the Human Health Biosolutions business by e.g., providing preclinical evidence and mode of action understanding for new product development and life-cycle managementExploring, analyzing and concluding on data in close collaboration with research teams and marketingCombining your scientific expertise with creativity, curiosity, teamwork and strong communication skillsPotentially relevant experience:Ph.D. or M. Sc. in biotechnology, microbiology, life sciences, or a related fieldExperience in human health research, i.e. application/development of artificial gut models such as SHIME or TIM-1/TIM-2 is an advantageExperience with analyzing data sets, visualizing results (preferably JMP, Python or R) and communicating resultsWritten and spoken English skills (working proficiency)As a person you prefer working in a team and engage with a variety of people. Practical lab skills and prior experience in supervising lab technicians and/or students is an advantage.
