- Manage the marketing activities and spend in the German speaking European countries (DACH) and other selected countries within the region, in coordination with global and regional priorities.
- Ensure alignment with regional sales priorities to deliver regional / country / vertical marketing initiatives in support of the region’s business results.
- Develop the position as a strategic partner for the regions government sales managers for consulting on promoting and communicating in key business opportunities.
- Maintain an understanding of Motorola Solutions’ positioning and market share (products and verticals) in among others the DACH region, in alignment with the priorities of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) marketing and based on input from the field and the regional strategy team.
- Formulate, drive and implement targeted local marketing activities for key vertical markets.
- Work with the core EMEA marketing and sales teams to create and accelerate the regional pipeline through customer insight-driven marketing initiatives. In this build awareness of major opportunities and key players (sales, distribution, partner and end customers) to influence and support a positive opportunity outcome.
- Effectively communicate and report out to senior members of: Sales management teams, Global marketing teams, Brand teams, Product Teams, Strategy, Service and Business Operations.
- Communicate the Motorola Solutions brand narrative and be the brand ambassador and go-to person in the DACH countries and other selected parts of Europe.
- The Field Marketing Manager is expected to be an active participant in sales planning meetings and operational reviews.
Key deliverables include:
- Development, management and execution of the direct government marketing plan for selected parts of Europe among others, the DACH region – well structured, documented, in accordance with corporate policy and easy to understand.
- In this the end-2-end marketing strategy and tactics for the region to capture growth and support ongoing business opportunities.
- Physical and digital activities, campaigns, localizations, training etc.
- Management of the allocated direct government budget to support the marketing plan.
- Owning and evangelizing the MSI narrative (for direct and government customers) across the region.
- Cohesive execution of field marketing initiatives (for direct and government customers) across the region in accordance with MSI brand.
- Comprehensive understanding of and ability to communicate the Motorola Solutions offering through the technology ecosystem and product portfolio, including business drivers for management, sales, and customers (incorporating competitive, market, business and economic information).
- ROI measurements and recommendations for change if needed to drive growth in the region.
We are seeking someone who possesses a passion for marketing and making things happen, with a data-driven decision making mindset and a high level of energy seeking to grow and learn in an exciting and rewarding team environment.
Basic Requirements
- 5+ years experience in a field marketing, marcom, events, digital marketing or demand generation role.
- Past B2B/B2G sales experience or a track record of working directly as a marketer with a B2B/B2G sales organization.
- Customer oriented manager, preferably with a military past or with work experience from a public safety agency.
- Strong communicator with prior experience in developing messaging and positioning, managing initiatives, activities, content and website
- Spoken and written fluency in German and English. Additional languages would be an advantage.
- Comfortable with technical issues and adept in picking up technology and concepts. Past demonstration of technical skills will be considered an advantage.
- Familiar with effective account-based marketing approaches
- Experience with online and offline marketing programs (including events creation and management) with knowledge of current trends, media and tools
- Creative spark as expressed in ideas for content, messaging and creative design within the defined brand envelope
- Must pay high attention to detail, strong project management and time management skills
- Experience in evolving marketing programs based on performance data, ground-level feedback from sales and understanding of the business
- Creative, innovative and resourceful with a hands-on “get-it-done” results orientation
- Ability to work successfully in an ever-changing environment with competing priorities
- Cost-conscious win/win negotiator
