Job description: Overview:Full-time, Continuing positionSalary Level HEW 5 + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working ArrangementsBased at the Melbourne CBD campus, and hybrid ways of workingAbout YouThe Prospective Student Officer is the first point of contact for prospective students that come into the Study@RMIT Centre and plays a critical role always representing RMIT in a professional manner encouraging prospective students to take advantage of what RMIT has to offer. As a member of the Study@RMIT Face to Face Team, they will participate in both inbound and outbound interactions with future students, engaging in needs-based meaningful conversations to help them bring their vision for their education future to life.You will be a subject matter expert on everything RMIT, proactively promoting tailor-made solutions and the benefits of studying at RMIT. The role will focus on Domestic students looking to study at RMIT University, with a strong focus on advising students about the application process and where appropriate helping students apply in the centre.The Prospective Student Officer’s primary focus will be serving our future students in the Study@RMIT centre, however they will also be required to help on other contact channels, including Phone, Email, Live Chat, Social, when needed. They will aim to meet and exceed competitive student recruitment sales targets whilst ensuring accurate and careful maintenance of the Salesforce CRM database.To be successful in this position, you’ll have as a minimum:Demonstrated experience in being a pro-active team member whilst successfully responding to client needs measured through lead generation, conversion to application, and positive customer feedback.Proven experience in a retail/sales/recruitment environment preferredExhibit high level written and verbal communication skills and comprehension skills, and confidently interact with clients from a diverse range of backgrounds.Demonstrate ability to manage difficult client expectations with successful outcomes.Experience with CRM for capturing lead and case data based on conversation with prospective students.Ability to use multiple systems simultaneously and work well under pressure whilst meeting KPI’s.Ability to interpret complex information and effectively and efficiently converse with individuals at all levels while dealing with customers from diverse backgrounds.Ability to work on campus 4-5 days a week.Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.About the PortfolioThe Experience Group’s vision is to bring to life RMIT’s strategy by putting the student at the centre of everything we do, creating a differentiated brand proposition, developing integrated deep insights for all our global students and cultivating a differentiated and relevant service experience for those segments.The Experience unit includes the following teams: Market Intelligence & Proposition, Market Development & Customer Innovation, Brand, Segments and Campaigns, Marketing Business Partners and Global Student recruitment.
