The RoleWe have an exciting permanent, full-time Marketing Support Officer position available to join our Marketing, Public Relations and Events team at TAFE Queensland’s South Brisbane Campus.As a Marketing Support Officer, you will:

  • Provide efficient and effective administration support to the Marketing, Public Relations and Events team.
  • Provide customer focused, timely, accurate and effective administration support to internal and external stakeholders.

This position reports to the Manager, Marketing, Public Relations and Events.SalaryThe salary range for a Marketing Support Officer is $75,885.91 – 85,317.18 (gross) per annum plus superannuation contributions of 12.75% of your salary.Benefits

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the established values of Safety First, Working Together, Focussing on our Customer, Taking Responsibility and Showing Initiative.
  • Contribute to providing continuous excellence in the delivery of Customer Service by participating in activities including but not limited to application processing, telephone enquiries, webchat processing and enrolments processing.
  • Carry out tasks of a financial nature including but not limited to obtaining quotes, raising purchase orders, processing payments and ensuring invoicing, reconciliation, accruals and tracking is undertaken in accordance with Financial Management Standards and related TAFE Queensland policies and procedures.
  • Support the Manager, Marketing, Public Relations and Events with the delivery of the annual program of activities that bring the TAFE Queensland brand to life in the Brisbane region.
  • Provide professional administrative support for the team across marketing, public relations and events functions utilising various software packages (including, but not limited to: Microsoft 365, SharePoint, TechOne and ECM) ensuring discretion, confidentiality and sound judgement is always exercised.
  • Attend and support key TAFE Queensland, Brisbane events including event setup and pack down.
  • Provide professional, efficient and timely customer service and advice to internal and external clients, use effective questioning, negotiation and conflict management to ensure customer satisfaction and responding in a timely and appropriate manner to verbal and written enquiries.
  • Proactively manage your own workflow, take ownership for the accurate completion of tasks, perform duties in line with guidelines, procedures and compliance requirements and continually seek improvement in the way in which work is performed.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant legislation, policy, procedures, compliance requirements and workflows for the business area and undertake research and development on matters relating to business functions.
  • Undertake other tasks and projects as required at the direction of the Manager, Marketing, Public Relations and Events.

How you will be assessed * Demonstrated experience in contributing to the planning and implementation of marketing and events activities to promote a commercial business.

  • Demonstrated effective time management skills, including the ability to organise and prioritise work while displaying initiative, responsibility and decisiveness to meet set deadlines.
  • Exercise proficiency in the utilisation of software applications, the internet and core business systems relevant to administration functions, including data entry and ability to use multiple systems, consistently maintaining a high level of accuracy and meeting quality standards.
  • Demonstrated communication skills, interpersonal and negotiation skills and the ability to provide high level customer service in a professional and educational environment.
  • Commitment to the values of the organisation through modelling of behaviours demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness with the initiative, attitude and ability to thrive within a dynamic, challenging and changing environment.

Highly DesirableCandidates who possess the following will be highly regarded:

  • Administrative, financial and project experience in a Marketing, Public Relations and Events team environment.
