Marketing Strategy Lead Consultant

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Marketing Consultant to lead new customer acquisition strategies with a focus on key expansion markets and improving the activation of our marketing activities across our vast branch network. 

This is a new role within the Consumer, Small and Business Banking (CSBB) Growth Marketing organization, who are responsible for driving new customer and balance growth profitably via effective, integrated marketing strategies.

This marketing strategy role will lead a cross-functional team across marketing execution, analytics, finance, product, etc. to identify and implement marketing strategies to profitability acquire new customers in key expansion markets and via improved outreach strategies across our 4k+ branch network. This role is critical in helping CSBB deliver new customer growth and increasing our share of wallet in key markets.

The ideal candidate is highly quantitative, curious and collaborate with an innate performance mindset. This person must have a deep understanding of digital and branch channels, P&L management, and test & learn strategy.

This is a high-visibility role, which offers lots of opportunity for creativity and innovation, while helping to deliver significant production at strong returns through effective marketing campaigns.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop, implement, and lead marketing strategies in key expansion markets to improve our share of wallet and accelerate customer growth.
  • Identify, lead, and implement in partnership with our branch, field, tech, and other key partners improved new marketing acquisitions strategies via our 4k+ branch network.
  • Ensure we have the optimal marketing investments in key markets to help deliver against our growth goals.
  • Collaborate with execution, channel, optimization, segment, analytics, and finance teams to increase scale and profitability across acquisitions strategies, particularly via our branches and in key strategic markets.
  • Review analytical results to make data-driven decisions to improve marketing performance while delivering customer-obsessed experiences.
  • Embrace test and learn while being through in the management of details.
  • Act as a thought leader – present and discuss ideas with the intent to persuade, educate, and enhance understanding across all levels of the organization.

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 5+ years of Marketing, Digital Marketing, Digital Platforms (i.e. Mobile or Social Media) experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Marketing strategy experience with a focus customer acquisition through digital and branch channels, preferably in financial services.
  • Demonstrated outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to present and discuss information in a way that persuades, educates, and enhances understanding at all levels.
  • Strong analytical understanding with a track record of developing business cases that deliver growth.
  • Highly collaborative and can effectively lead a cross-functional team including both internal and external partners.
  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.

Job Expectations:

  • Minimal annual travel expected.
  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule.

Salary Range:

  • New York City, New York: $115,900-$206,100 annual base

Salary range is determined by location of the job. May be considered for a discretionary bonus.

Pay Range

$96,600.00 – $206,100.00
