Marketing Specialist

Nilfisk
As the French bilingual marketing specialist for Nilfisk Canada, you play an essential role in collaborating on and executing local channel marketing plans to help grow dealers and distributors in Canada. The specialist is essential in a wide range of activities from internal and external communication, traditional and digital marketing strategies, co-branding/co-marketing efforts, event planning and more. The specialist also supports the Nilfisk sales team with relevant sales and marketing tools to enable more effective customer interactions.
The specialist is part of the Americas Marketing Team and will have the opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally with global and local B2B marketing professionals and sales teams.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement marketing plan for all product lines and brands in Canada, which could include, but is not limited to:
- Dealer marketing activation and support – Execute local channel marketing plan
- New product launch localization and activation
- Exhibitions / Trade shows planning, support and execution
- Sales and marketing literature localization
- Website and other asset updates and localization
- Assist in managing and executing local product launches
- Monitor and report the effectiveness of activities
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communication, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years of marketing, communications or public relations experience
- Sales experience, helpful, but not necessary
KNOWLEDGE & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
- Multi-lingual (including English & French Canadian)
- High level of attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple tasks.
- Proven success in managing projects and coordinating marketing programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to interact with all functional areas and all organizational levels.
- Good interpersonal skills to enhance relationships with customers.
- Job involves working in front of computer screen.
- Willingness to travel overnight as required
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, a must.
- Experience with Pardot or similar email marketing system required or desire.
- Experience with Salesforce.com or related CRM program required or desired.
LOCATION: Remote, based within driving distance of Nilfisk Canada office in Mississauga, ON
TRAVEL: Some travel required (<10%); some days in office as needed for trainings, meetings, etc.
