Marketing Specialist

Job Description:
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for contributing to marketing projects, branding and community engagement at City of Hope Phoenix. The specialist will partner with the Marketing Manager in developing patient access plans, competitive landscapes, and consumer insights to develop hyper local marketing tactics to build trust and loyalty to increase patient access.
The Marketing Specialist will implement hospital and affiliate marketing tactics in collaboration with the Marketing Manager. The role oversees day-to-day deliverables as required and provides any necessary direction and resources to internal/external partners. The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for gathering information on the hospital level pertaining to new service line opportunities, technology advancements, growth initiatives, brand equity and awareness. The role will ensure project deliverables are met in a timely manner and conduct weekly project status meetings with the Marketing Manager.
The Marketing Specialist will collaborate with the Marketing Manager to assist in tracking expenses and assist in processing invoices to maintain the budget. This role will have direct oversight for community engagement events as it relates to Cancer Support Organizations (CSO) and existing employer partners working cross functionally with hospital teams to support the hospital and increase brand awareness within the community.
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for managing all regional and local marketing campaigns and projects, including brand, physician and clinical marketing, and partnerships with local/national Cancer Support Organizations for City of Hope Phoenix.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
Master’s degree preferred.
3-5 years of Marketing or Communications or equivalent experience.
Mass Media knowledge – traditional and digital.
Experience working with a matric reporting organization.
Extensive writing and verbal communication skills.
Ability to write and speak in an active voice.
Ability to lead through influence.
Strong project management skills.
Must be able to communicate effectively with physicians, patients, employees, and the public to establish good working relationships with internal and external partners. Experience managing relationships with external partners.
Knowledge of concepts of marketing, social media, communications, and public relations.
Knowledge of data analytics.
Pay Range
$57,734.00 – $94,997.00
Placement within the identified pay range is based on individual and market factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, credentials (including licenses and certifications), geographic location, market competition, skill set (including market availability of required skills), assigned/anticipated job tasks, and level of responsibility. These factors are considered without regard to an individual’s status as a member of any protect group pursuant to federal, state, and/or local law.
