What is the Marketing Program Manager responsible for?

The Marketing Program Manager, Digital Strategy and Wealth Management will support key initiatives that promote Franklin Templeton’s digital products and services across B2B, B2B2C and Direct to Consumer Audiences. Working cross-functionally with global product, sales, finance, and business teams in a lean, start up-like environment, the incumbent will have exposure to a variety of operational and strategic marketing tasks within the Digital Strategy and Wealth Management (DSWM) department, including:

  • Marketing technology (CMS, CRM, automation tools…etc.)
  • Performance metrics and analytics
  • Marketing project planning and timelines
  • Audience communication strategies
  • Creative content, storytelling and campaign development
  • Marketing/media agency and other vendor relations
  • Owned channel management, including web/micro sites, social media, app store…etc.

This is a hands-on role that will drive business outcomes through innovative CRM campaigns, website/editorial content and a fresh approach to sales enablement marketing. We’re looking for an entrepreneurial marketer that seeks room to grow in their career, and is not afraid to roll up their sleeves to tackle a wide variety of functions for the global DSWM businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Learn, master and manage a wide variety of marketing technologies (CRM, marketing automation, analytics tools, web publishing CMS, MMP, App Store…etc.) to enable a growing global function within Franklin Templeton
  • Support the deployment and delivery of various cross-channel marketing, communications, content and advertising campaigns across DSWM audiences, globally
  • Partner with various internal shared services teams and external vendors to develop and deliver innovative marketing materials, including end-investor content
  • Help to lead the DSWM B2B and D2C e-mail marketing programs, including journey programming, publishing, creative, and list management
  • Support all aspects of DSWM website publishing, managing the day-to-day changes and updates through CMS or via technology partners and vendors
  • Manage compliance submissions and global approvals tracking to ensure all marketing materials are in line with relevant regulations
  • Oversee briefing, tagging and reporting process for all DSWM marketing analytics across traditional and digital channels
  • Utilize a wide range of data from our technology stack and partner with our business intelligence team to dig into the numbers to find out what’s working, what’s not, and determine how to optimize our resources
  • Track marketing budgets, financial reporting and manage vendor invoices

What qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a major in communications, liberal arts, or marketing
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in brand-side marketing or with an advertising/media agency
  • Highly organized taskmaster with a strong attention to detail. Self-organized and self-responsible while having an entrepreneurial approach
  • Innovative, creative, and strategic thinker — but willing to roll up your sleeves to execute in a lean and agile start-up environment
  • Exposure to marketing projects and task management experience across a broad range of marketing activities (brand, content, PR, paid advertising, budgeting, analytics, etc.)
  • Experience deploying cross-channel marketing programs – with specific emphasis on digital, mobile, social, and emerging channels
  • Working knowledge of digital advertising, marketing tracking/reporting, and hands-on experience with marketing technologies required (such as Hubspot, Marketo, WordPress, Bloomreach, Kochava, Google Analytics…etc.)
  • Past experience and/or exposure to financial services or other highly regulated industries is preferred
  • Adaptable, with the ability to transition to/from different initiatives and projects as opportunities and risks emerge, organizing work and due dates to structure time most effectively
  • Excellent communicator and natural collaborator with the ability to build relationships across all levels. Comfortable being challenged and seeking challenge from colleagues and stakeholders
  • Goal-orientated and results driven with the ability to see the bigger picture
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and other workplace productivity tools

Compensation Range: Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to range between $120,000 – $150,000.
