Summary of the position:
The Marketing Program Manager will be responsible for organizing and executing processes to help achieve our vision of flawless execution in our tactical marketing efforts. This multi-tasking role will drive process development and improvement throughout all marketing communications efforts. The role will manage and coordinate activities through all internal and external communication channels, as well as with internal and external business partners, including advertising agencies and trade show houses.
This position may be located at Hitachi Global Air Power US, LLC in Chicago, Illinois or Michigan City, Indiana and reports to the Director of Market Execution.
Duties and responsibilities:
Project Management and Execution:
- Develop and execute marketing programs aligned with company goals.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Manage the team process for work item intake, resolution, and reporting, ensuring efficient handling of issues.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for initiating specific marketing projects, utilizing process methodology for information gathering.
- Manage and coordinate activities across internal and external channels, including agencies and trade show houses.
Process Development and Improvement:
- Drive process development and improvement throughout all marketing efforts.
- Introduce automation to manual processes where possible.
- Coordinate teams’ transition to new tools and processes while assisting in onboarding.
- Monitor and report on marketing programs’ performance to suggest improvement areas.
Content and Media Management:
- Oversee the management of a media library, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Manage and disseminate New Product Development (NPD) media appropriately.
Integration and Visibility:
- Ensure integration of new concepts, tactics, and materials across all media channels – online and offline.
- Maintain an 18-month marketing calendar to provide management visibility into marketing efforts, including trade shows, advertising, and PR.
- Act as a liaison between marketing, other departments, and external partners.
Co-Marketing and Co-Branding Initiatives:
- Collaborating with channel partners on marketing campaigns. This can involve joint advertising efforts, co-branded marketing materials, shared trade show appearances, and other collaborative marketing activities.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business required; marketing/communication desired.
Professional experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a tactical marketing/project management role required; experience in a b2b environment desired.
