The opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Content, you will be responsible for creating and building out the marketing operations team, overseeing our marketing tech stack strategy, and creating our marketing workflows & processes. A successful candidate for this role provides strategic partnership with the marketing team, the larger GTM team, and cross functional partners across ngrok. Our mission is to build a world-class GTM organization and setting the foundation for the marketing organization will be crucial to set the team up for success. You will drive this effort from the ground up and build upon our investments in the Marketing Operations infrastructure. You will also guide process development, budget administration, and marketing analytics.

What you’ll accomplish

  • Own the Marketing Technology systems and tools used by the business, including Hubspot, Clearbit, LeanData and any other products we will acquire to drive innovation in our marketing process.
  • Take responsibility for day-to-day execution of marketing automation requests from internal customers. These requests range from single emails, multi-step campaigns, webinar, event pre/post programs, and other miscellaneous requests from internal ngrok customers.
  • Work on data integrity and data management.
  • Assist in building and maintaining reports within Hubspot and Salesforce to track ROI and success metrics for campaigns by creating an attribution process.
  • Contribute to system health of ngrok by working on operational system programs and following best practices within the system.
  • Be a strategic partner to the marketing team on any program and operational needs.

Skills

  • 5+ years of Marketing Operations experience in a B2B or PLG business, experience with both a plus
  • Hands-on experience with end to end marketing technology ecosystems and a solid understanding of marketing automation systems
  • Deep technical understanding of Hubspot and Salesforce required
  • Experience with building and maintaining integrations between marketing tech stack
  • Experience with project planning and setting up systems within a fast evolving company
  • Experience in a high-growth, early-stage startup with a passion for winning, overcoming challenges, and a good sense of humor
  • Knowledge of SQL a plus
  • A genuine curiosity for the art of the possible to make the team and business more efficient
  • Willingness to travel when it is safe to do so

Compensation for this role depends on the level. Still, we provide a competitive mix of salary and equity. We provide a 401(k) with a 100% match up to 3% of your salary and a 50% match up to another 2%.

We provide healthcare, dental, and vision with premiums fully covered on the base plan for employees. Half of premiums are covered for dependents.

We offer unlimited PTO and a culture in which most employees take more than four weeks. Your manager is also on the hook for encouraging you to do the same.
