Marketing Manager, Public Sector Member Communications and Marketing

Must have intimate knowledge of Medicaid or Medicare managed care and other state program requirements.

Responsible for national public sector marketing and local member communications for public sector during implementations. This position

will work closely with marketing leadership and the public sector team to develop marketing, member and provider communications and

implement programs as needed. Significant experience in public sector, Medicaid and/or Medicare contract analysis and communications

required. This position will manage moderate to complex projects, including planning and execution to drive top line revenue growth and

target our key constituencies, primarily Public Sector State customers and members. This position takes initiative in developing

communications based on internal and external requirements and developing and executing national marketing programs.

Responsible for marketing activity related to assigned business segment(s). This position will work closely with marketing leadership and clients in developing new marketing programs and implementing new marketing approaches. Good working knowledge of the organization’s products and the overall industry is recommended. This position will manage moderate to complex projects, including the planning and execution to drive top line revenue growth, increase cross sell and retention across Magellan’s diverse health related product line, and target our key constituencies, primarily Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), Government Entities, Plan Sponsors (Employers), Brokers, Consumers, Providers and Consultants. This position takes initiative in communication programs and resources and obtaining feedback from partners. Participates in the recommendation/implementation of strategies to achieve marketing goals.

  • Provides comprehensive strategic marketing communications support to drive thought leadership and brand awareness.
  • Understands, applies and encourages adoption of brand guidelines consistently. Ensure messaging is consistent with overall marketing strategic priorities.
  • Defines materials and communication events needed to support the segments value proposition in a manner that will influence all constituencies.
  • Ensures that all positioning is optimized for intended segment.
  • Develops, coordinates with management and all members of the segment marketing team to define objectives, metrics and goals.
  • Drives segment-marketing team’s ideation and development of concept packages maintaining project plan and creatively executing collateral development.
  • Defines, builds and maintains best practices and templates for core segment marketing communications and promotional events.
  • Provides ongoing oversight by partnering with the core product marketing teams assuring adherence to these standards in the development of critical marketing collateral.
  • Extends marketing messages to digital media as appropriate.
  • Establishes and completes work within departmental budget.
  • Ensures and coordinates a cross-functional team approach to targeted marketing strategies ensuring buy in from all key partners.
  • Demonstrates technological savvy to translate technical terminology and concepts into business language as well as the appropriate mediums in which to deliver

Responsibilities

Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of experience in marketing complex health and human service solutions and services to Government agencies.

May consider an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree.

Exemplify marketing acumen and the strategic marketing discipline as well as foster an inclusive environment where employees feel valued and recognized for their contributions.

Able to navigate complex, highly matrixed organizations in a highly regulated industry successfully.

Strong client orientation and work ethic.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual’s skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
