Location: Charenton, Paris area, France Reporting to: Marketing Director, EMEA
As part of the Transitions EMEA Marketing As part of the Transitions EMEA Marketing team, the incumbent will be responsible for building strong relationships with the subs key stakeholders (Marketing Directors, Marketing Managers, Commercial Directors and Key Account Managers) to keep them focused on key projects to support the business development of the category in country. In this influential role, the incumbent will be required to use marketing expertise and business knowledge to ensure Transitions® remains a high priority across the subs in driving continuous improvement in category development. This role will also involve close monitoring of sales to ensure there is appropriate business analysis reports to support the development of the country strategies.
Key Responsabilities:
- Partner with Marketing Director EMEA and the Transitions global marketing team in developing recommendations for consumer communication plans, executing and monitoring the media plans including the following elements
- Media mix
- TV and Digital media plans
- PR
- Partner with EMEA Commercial & Marketing Directors and appropriate Essilor EMEA team members to ensure the development of:
- Effective Country Marketing plans, towards both Consumer and Trade
- Essilor education and trade activation elements
- Key Essilor products marketing materials, ensuring branding and strategies are in line with Transitions global guidelines
- Contribute in making the launch of innovations a success, go-to-market strategy, BtoB and BtoBtoC plan definition and implementation.
- Participate in appropriate Essilor meetings on projects, supply chain and quality topics.
- Adapt English generic elements for the region for all Casters from Global marketing elements,
- Give guidance and support to country champions in their development of effective tools & programs required for achieving business objectives
- Manage central marketing agencies
- Manage relevant budgets per country including media and coop. Validate, create and follow-up of all the Opex requests.
- Drive key marketing projects linked to the marketing strategy.
- Partner with the Marketing team in developing the yearly budget strategy to ensure that strategic guidelines are being respected locally.
- Support and challenge the local media strategy to ensure Transitions brand development has a strong local impact on trade activation.
Key Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in marketing, business or a related field required
- 5 – 10 years relevant marketing experience including relevant BtoB or retail experience
- Brand marketing experience (including digital knowledge)
- Must be fluent in English with a high standard of written English
- Experience in influencing up and down the organization and working successfully with across cultures and functional teams
- Strong collaborative ability and teamwork skills in a multicultural environment
- Strong relationship building, problem solving, analytical, and written/ verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage complexity and operate in a complex, changing environment
- Experience with agency management to deliver results
- Ability to effectively manage multiple key projects at the same time
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of optical business an advantage
- International languages are an advantage
- Willing to travel internationally (up to 20% according to the pandemic evolution) to ensure subs are aligned on strategic priorities.
