The Marketing Manager will be responsible for the formulation and execution of global marketing strategies contributing to the profitability and market penetration of Johnson & Johnson MedTech Knee Products. The Marketing Manager will be focused on downstream marketing for the Primary Knee portfolio.

You will be responsible for:

  • Commercial leadership within the Knee business.
  • Firm understanding of market needs.
  • Aligning customer insights with product capabilities and messaging.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure alignment between demand and supply.
  • Extend a high performing culture that encourages collaboration and inclusiveness within the team, and across stakeholder groups.

Commercial Results

  • Achieve business plan objectives of sales, net income, gross profit, inventory and price on an annual basis.
  • Manage expenses within budget.
  • Increase company’s leadership position in the Knee market.

Product Launches

  • Responsible for leading and executing impactful product launches.
  • Specific responsibilities include the development of the brand strategy, marketing materials for all key customer groups, pricing strategy, promotional plans, product training plans (salesforce & surgeons), product forecasting, inventory roll-out and management, sales tools, etc.

Customer Insights and Analytics

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for our products, competitive strategies and products, procedures, surgical techniques, and the innovation landscape.
  • Stay connected with market needs through frequent interaction with customers – travel with sales consultants, attend industry meetings, review medical journals, etc.
  • Develop relationships with surgeon customers and key targets.

General Business Support

  • Partner closely with Professional Education to develop impactful and compliant educational programs that set the J&J Institute as the preferred partner for educating physicians.
  • Be responsive to requests from customers, sales consultants, and regional marketers.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Professional Education, Strategic Customer Group & other internal stakeholder to deliver a competitive advantage.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required; MBA is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years combined experience in Marketing, Sales, Product Management, and/or Product/Brand Marketing is required.
  • Experience in the medical device industry required; orthopedic experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and tight deadlines required.
  • Demonstrated success in utilizing written and oral communications skills to produce effective marketing plans and materials required.
  • Ability to work independently, proactively, and with teams is required.
  • Proven ability to interact effectively and collaborate with a wider marketing, business intelligence, R&D, operations, legal, finance, medical affairs, clinical, and regulatory organizations required.
  • Proven strong strategic and analytical capabilities required.
  • Ability to make effective marketing presentations to small and large groups is required.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to influence small and large groups is required.
  • Commitment to a culture of compliance, adhering to DePuy Synthes’ code of conduct and HCC policies, as well as the J&J Credo is required.
  • This role is perfect for a proactive, independent individual with a passion for orthopedic innovations who is ready to make a significant impact in a rapidly evolving market.
  • Ability to work with cadavers and within an Operating Room setting required.

This role is based on the either the campus in Palm Beach Gardens, FL or the campus in Warsaw, IN. One will need to be in the office 2-3 days a week. Up to 20% of domestic and international travel, including some weekends, required.
