Salisbury Greenhouses and Landscaping is a family-run business that has served the Edmonton and area community since 1965. All three divisions aim to enrich people’s lives and growing experiences. Whether through gardening and a love for plants or designing and building beautiful outdoor spaces to enjoy.

We are looking for a passionate Marketing Manager to join our team. This role would be responsible for the Marketing Strategy and initiatives for both Greenhouses and Landscaping. Travel and working at both our Sherwood Park and St Albert locations will be required.

We are looking to have a successful candidate to start on January 9, 2023

*Job Summary*

Reporting to the Executives, the Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of the marketing strategy for the Greenhouses and Landscaping divisions as well as all marketing initiatives.

*Duties and Responsibilities*

  • Develop and implement a strategic marketing strategy using insights and data
  • Identifying key external audience segments and establishing effective communication strategies and tactics appropriate to each audience
  • Establish key measures of success to assess against objectives and deliverables
  • Develop and manage marketing budget to meet business objectives
  • Collaborate with other key management roles on marketing initiatives
  • Create and manage a full marketing calendar, including promotions, events, and social media
  • Ensure brand consistency on all marketing materials, both digital and print
  • Engaging content curation to relate to different types of audiences
  • Conduct market research and identify trends
  • Identify local market opportunities with key customer target groups and media outlets to increase exposure for Salisbury
  • Establish and develop relationships for cross-promotion
  • Provide studies and analytics on campaign performance and make improvements based on findings
  • Lead and develop the marketing department

*Skills and Qualifications*

Background

  • Post-secondary education in Marketing
  • 5 years in a similar marketing role
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience with direct report mentorship, coaching and, developing a team
  • Experience in retail and construction markets considered an asset

Experience

  • Strong analytical, technological, communicational, and organizational skills
  • Strong marketing and business acumen
  • Experienced in planning, with strong organizational and execution abilities.
  • Self-motivated and able to collaborate with other departments and divisions
  • Experience marketing in different industries and target markets

  • Team-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
