POSITION SUMMARY

This Marketing Manager plans and executes successful inbound and outbound marketing programs to attract prospective buyers and convert them to customers, applying best-in-class tactics for demand generation, brand awareness, and funnel optimization. The role will grow awareness of the brand, ensuring that brand positioning and promise are consistent in all marketing initiatives and communications. All essential duties are performed in the spirit of discovery and continual adaptation to market responses.

Our vision for our marketing initiatives is comprised of 3 core pillars (Brand Creation, Brand Activation, and Brand Stewardship). This role will drive the evolution of our expression to the market, and the Marketing Lead position will own this expression in several ways outlined below. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing Management:

  • Budgeting: this role will work with business leadership to establish annual marketing budgets, priorities, and initiatives, and will be responsible for managing against that budget for all marketing activity
  • Planning: This marketing lead will guide planning efforts in partnership with the VP of Creative & Strategy, SVP of Commercial Business Development, and core marketing stakeholders to establish detailed and actionable goals and targeted activity on an annual basis.
  • Leadership: as the lead for AMERS regional marketing, this role will oversee all required resources for the execution of out annual marketing plan.

PR & Event:

  • Public Relations: the marketing team will actively be working to build relationships with publications, event sponsors, and thought leaders from across the brand experience spectrum that advance our position in the marketplace. It will be the responsibility of the Marketing Lead to think beyond the trade in building relationships in this space.
  • Events: the SGK brand has a strength in hosting, participating in, and collaborating on events in our key markets. The marketing lead will be responsible for these events as a part of the annual marketing budget.

Content & Social:

  • Content creation: as a brand we are actively looking to evolve how we create and deliver content to the marketplace on a regular basis, leveraging social, online, and targeted channels to build our reputation through compelling and authentic photo, video, and digital content lanes in addition to the presentation, pitch, and RFP response content that will need to be created on a regular basis. This content should equally represent our people, culture, process, and work.
  • Social Media: primary social channels that we engage in are Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter. The marketing lead will be responsible for our voice through these channels, managing the content, engagement, and community we foster through social media.
  • Podcast series: our existing podcast series is a monthly/bi-monthly discussion of consumer and brand experience in its many forms. The marketing lead will be responsible for this series in partnership with the host, ensuring the guest lineup is planned, content is edited and delivered, and the podcast is a well-connected part of our marketing ecosystem.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • 8+ years progressive experience managing marketing programs; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years in a leadership role
  • Periodic travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
