JDC has an exciting opportunity for a marketing generalist with digital marketing and client management experience to make an impact as part of a global Jewish humanitarian nonprofit. The Marketing Manager will support JDC Entwine’s Marketing function in driving the execution of a robust marketing, branding, and communications strategy that engages current and new audiences. They will own the execution of multi-channel digital marketing initiatives. They will help to increase Entwine’s brand equity within the communities Entwine serves, engage with current and potential audiences, generate marketing qualified leads for the organization, and execute integrated marketing and communications efforts. This is a true marketing generalist position.

What will you do as a Marketing Manager?

Content Development & Management:

  • Work cross-functionally with Entwine staff to deliver impactful recruitment campaigns that generate program participants, including development of marketing emails, website content and social media content that is trendy, consistent, relevant, high-quality and aligns with our values and mission.
  • Work closely with the Entwine Engagement Unit to produce marketing materials that reflect the needs of our core audience and are used for Entwine programs, events, and partnerships.
  • Assist in the development and promotion of learning materials and educational content for Entwine’s core audience.
  • Brand & Copyediting:
  • Help with the generation of copy, and the revision of content for grammatical and contextual accuracy and consistency with the organization’s voice, brand, and mission in mind.
  • Organize all branded templates for internal staff and external partners and assist with ongoing training to ensure brand adherence across all communications and content.

Administrative:

  • Provide administrative management for the marketing function, including tracking and processing vendor contracts and agreements.

Marketing Research:

  • Identify and test new marketing channels to aid organizational growth – both internal channels to optimize management and performance of marketing tactics and external channels to increase.
  • Conduct marketing research to enhance the marketing strategy: stay on top of the latest trends, stay connected to ever-changing audience demographics, and adapt our strategies based on findings.

Other:

  • Be a JDC Entwine expert.
  • Maintain excellent knowledge of JDC’s mission and work.
  • Travel 2-3 times per year: Represent Entwine at gatherings, events, conferences, or other public venues, required to staff 1 Global Insider Trip per year.
  • Such other duties may be assigned from time to time.

What qualifications are required to be our Marketing Manager?

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, communications, or equivalent professional experience
  • Professional experience in marketing, advertising, public relations or communications; prior experience at a marketing agency or familiarity with how an agency functions and with account management
  • Knowledge of marketing best practices, keeping up with cutting edge techniques and trends
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines through time and project management skills
  • Keen detail orientation and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Passion for visual and written storytelling, copy writing and editing, and content development
  • Excellent relational skills for internal client management; able to work well with colleagues around the world, lay leaders, and field professionals
  • Proactivity; Ability to work on one’s own with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Team-oriented, flexible, and able to maintain integrity
  • Prior experience successfully developing and implementing new marketing programs, structures and processes in a professional marketing role
  • Proficiency in project management systems, Canva, content management systems (WordPress, Drupal, or others), customer relationship management systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, or others), and Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, and Planner)
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed

Additional Preferred Skills and Competencies:

  • Prior experience working closely with colleagues on a marketing team
  • Experience building and executing omni-channel integrated marketing campaigns
  • Experience with digital engagement and growth marketing initiatives and lead generation marketing strategies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of growth marketing tools (social media management, marketing automation, content management systems)
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Formal or informal experience with basic video editing
  • Familiarity with the North American Jewish young adult community is a plus
  • Passion for humanitarian work and/or global Jewish service strongly preferred

Additional Details

  • Employment Type: Full-time
  • Hours: 35 hours/week, 8:45 AM – 4:45PM with a 1-hour lunch break
  • Location: Hybrid from New York, in-office Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • Reports to: Director of Marketing, Entwine
  • Job Function/Department: Entwine

What are the compensation and benefits for a Marketing Manager?

This is a full-time position paid semi-monthly at a salary of $70,000-$90,000 per year; in determining where a candidate falls in that range JDC considers several factors, including skills and experience, internal equity, and cost of living in location of work. This role is exempt per the FLSA.
