General Description:
The Marketing Exective, Japan, would be responsible to support the implementation of retail marketing, online campaigns, Public Relations/Influencer Marketing engagement, Social Media, etc. to drive awareness, preference and growth for our brand(s).
It is critical for this role to work closely with the Sales and Product Management teams locally. And closely with the regional teams to ensure alignment and execution to achieve business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Marketing lead for Japan to execute an integrated marketing plan covering the full facet of marketing from retail, digital and PR
- Retail marketing
- Retail visibility. Ensure messaging for retail furniture and POSMs are rolled out and updated for NPIs, campaigns and product messaging
- Promotional campaigns. Work with the various partners on monthly campaigns, prepare campaign communications including EDMs, social media ads, in-store POSMs, PR messages, in-store posters, etc to drive sell out
- Track competition and keep improving our visibility to create a ‘wow’ and engaging experience
- E-commerce content marketing – continue to track competitors and use our products vs competitors to see how we can continuously improve and create the most compelling content so that we drive conversions and sales
- Manage online marketing campaigns with SEM and SNS to drive brand preference and traffic
- Execute community initiatives (events & experiences) and identify strategic sales opportunities
- Identify and connect with the community of technology mavens and influencers to build brand awareness and preference – execute on driving positive word of mouth for the brand with media, YouTubers, and Bloggers to drive positive word-of-mouth
- Manage activities within the marketing budget and continuously track KPIs to ensure ongoing optimization of resources
Requirements:
- A minimum of three (3) years of marketing experience acquired from consumer electronics / I.T. industry gained from multinational organization.
- Good team spirit and ability to work with people from different departments and at different levels
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, task-oriented environment
- Prior experience in channel marketing, working with partners, visual merchandising will be advantageous
- Fluency in spoken and written Japanese and business English
- Ideally a University Degree in Marketing or Business Administration
