Marketing Director – China (Commercial & R&D)

The Role

This role will lead the commercial marketing team and manage the entire marketing operations for Veeva China’s Commercial business. This role will be a key member of the Veeva China leadership team reporting directly to the VP of Marketing Asia and dotted line reporting to the GM, China. The person will work closely with leaders of our Commercial and R&D business e.g. Sales, Product, and Strategy stakeholders in/outside of China. The successful individual will be responsible for driving marketing strategy and is expected to be hands-on in the execution of overall marketing programs. Veeva is executing towards 2025 Vision for Veeva China and Veeva Global, this role is critical to delivering on the Commercial business vision.

This position offers flexibility through a hybrid model between working days at the office and at home.

What You’ll Do

  • Define marketing strategy including digital for Veeva’s overall business in Japan to protect our customer base and grow towards 2025
  • Manage activities (Digital Events, in-person events, PR, account-based marketing, content marketing, customer marketing, thought leadership, etc) by closely working with Sales/Strategy/Product teams.
  • Build Veeva’s corporate & product awareness in the Pharma and IT industries for customers as well as attract talent
  • Customer success across Veeva User communities including Sales, Marketing, and IT decision-makers across MNCs and Domestics.
  • Mentoring and Coaching team members (4)
  • Manage annual marketing budget

Requirements

  • 15+ years of marketing experience in Software/Cloud, consulting, or business services, 7+ years of work experience in MNCs
  • Has worked with or in the global Pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
  • Has led a marketing team as a people manager for 3 years.
  • Experience in both field marketing and customer marketing
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication skills (in person and virtual)
  • Embrace Veeva’s culture and way of working
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English (written/spoken)
