Marketing Coordinator

At Sidekick, our mission is to help athletes recover faster from chronic injuries with our award-winning muscle scraping products. Our products are trusted by thousands of customers worldwide, from Olympic Champions to recreational athletes, and have been featured in a host of publications such as Men’s Health, Running Magazine and Ultrarunning Magazine to name a few.

As the Sidekick brand continues to grow, we are looking for a hungry and organized marketing coordinator to help cement the brand in the running segment.

The successful candidate will be groomed to become our Brand Manager, should they demonstrate exemplary performance. Job Description

The foundation of any great employee at Sidekick is that they must be hardworking and have a strong ability to pick up new skills quickly. As a coordinator, you must also be extremely organized and detail oriented. Having this list of skills alone will give you a good shot at success here at Sidekick!

In addition to those traits, some tactical skills we’d love to see include:

  • Copywriting
  • Experience building landing pages
  • Experience running paid advertising

What you’ll do

You’ll be joining the company at a time where we’ll be starting a new creative campaign. You’ll be involved with the development of this campaign alongside our agency and supporting them as necessary.

You’ll also be involved with event planning. Sidekick’s primary market is runners, and we will require the coordinator to organize our attendance at these events (from 5k’s to marathons). The majority of these events will be non-local (likely in the US), so you must be open to travel.

Other responsibilities may include assisting partner agencies with landing pages, developing advertising creatives, website management, working with athletes and more.

The Expectations

In the first month, you’ll be involved immediately with creating our new campaign. You will gain an understanding of our brand strategy and help execute on the tactics required for the strategy.

After 3 months, you will be comfortable contributing to Sidekick and will have made meaningful contributions. You will be working closely with our athletes, planning events and managing advertisements, to name a few.

Over time, you will be groomed to become our Brand Manager. Sidekick will ensure that you receive the education and support you need to fill this more strategic role.

You Have

  • 3+ years of marketing experience
  • A highly organized and detail-oriented personality
  • The ability to learn things quickly
  • The hunger to succeed and grow. You’re naturally hardworking
  • An ambitious and entrepreneurial spirit. You can demonstrate a history of taking initiative.
  • Strong copywriting experience
  • Experience building landing pages
  • Experience running paid advertising
  • Bonus: Loves running!

Sidekick is in Edmonton, Alberta, but are accepting candidates from across Canada.

Salary: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
