What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, the Marketing Operations Coordinator focuses on supporting the operational running of Marketing at CDW Canada. You’ll help support cross-functional activities and projects across the entire Marketing department. You will become Marketing’s subject matter expert on many of the Marketing-and firm-wide processes. Your passion for processes will drive the governance and adoption across Marketing. You’ll support the technology requirements of the marketing organization, managing rollouts and upgrades. Going beyond day-to-day operations, there will also be many opportunities to exercise your project management skills! Not only will you facilitate Marketing’s campaign planning and alignment process, you will also lead and manage new operational projects that enhance overall Marketing’s processes, efficacies, talent experience, and culture.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop a strong understanding of the CDW business, CDW Marketing organization structure, processes and marketing portfolio.
- Maintain and manage all marketing technology and tools (user maintenance, onboarding & training, tool upgrades).
- Assist in the development and updating of Marketing resources, templates and training materials; maintain Marketing Teams channel & SharePoint site.
- Assist in the onboarding and training of all new marketing and cross-functional coworkers.
- Develop and update marketing processes to resolve business challenges and improve team efficiencies.
- Manage special projects from strategic development to execution of a project and ensuring the activity requirements are met and project successfully delivered.
- Maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders/partners at all levels of the organization.
- Support larger team strategic projects led by senior members of the team.
- Maintain project trackers and budget paperwork for marketing activities.
- Provide general support to the marketing team with a focus on operations, but also including marketing finance, project management, additional event support and other duties as required.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Provide general marketing and promotion support to marketing team as required which may require working evenings or weekends (5-10% of the time).
What you need to succeed:
Must-have:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or marketing
- 2+ years relevant experience coordinating Marketing, Sales or related activities
- Strong attention to detail and project management skills
- History of successfully coordinating projects, with multiple facets and stakeholders
- Excellent written communication and presentation skills: ability to effectively articulate information and interact with stakeholders both verbally and through written communication
- Strong organizational skills with a track record of meeting deadlines and the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business
- Proven ability to proactively collaborate and build relationships, take initiative, and creatively problem-solve
Nice-to-have:
- Experience using formal project management tools like Workfront, Trello, Asana etc.
- Experience using HubSpot or other marketing automation tools
- Experience in B2B marketing is an asset but not required
